Light-driven bending of diarylethene mixed crystals

open access: yesChemical Science, 2015
The bending response of mixed crystals by selective photoisomerization revealed that the local shape change of each molecule is additively linked to the macroscopic deformation of the crystals.

New Bifunctional Diarylethene Sensor for Multianalyte Detection and Al3+ Imaging in Live Cells

open access: yesACS Omega, 2019
A novel photochromic diarylethene bifunctional chemosensor with a hydroxybenzylidene-2-naphthohydrazide group was synthesized with multicontrollable and photoswitchable properties, induced by UV–vis light, acid/base, and metal ions in acetonitrile.

Fluorescence Resonance Energy Transfer Using Spiropyran and Diarylethene Photochromic Acceptors

open access: yesMolecules, 2000
We describe the preparation and photophysical characterization of two model compounds designed to test a new approach for the quantitative determination of Fluorescence Resonance Energy Transfer (FRET) in biological systems. The method enables modulation

Unidirectional Real-Time Photoswitching of Diarylethene Molecular Monolayer Junctions with Multilayer Graphene Electrodes.

open access: yesACS Applied Materials and Interfaces, 2019
We fabricate and characterize vertical molecular junctions consisting of self-assembled monolayers of diarylethene (DAE) contacted by a multilayer graphene (MLG) electrode on the top and gold on the bottom.

Diarylethene-modified nucleotides for switching optical properties in DNA

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2012
Diarylethenes were attached to the 5-position of 2’-deoxyuridine in order to yield three different photochromic nucleosides. All nucleosides were characterized with respect to their absorption and photochromic properties. Based on these results, the most
