Structure of dibenzothiophen

Journal of the Chemical Society A: Inorganic, Physical, Theoretical, 1970
Crystals of dibenzothiophen are monoclinic, a= 8·67 ± 1, b= 6·00 ± 1, c= 18·70 ± 2 A, β= 113·9°, Z= 4, space group P21/c. The structure was determined with Mo-Kα diffractometer data by Patterson, electron-density, and least-squares methods, the final R being 0·083 for 1176 observed reflexions.

Desulphurization of dibenzothiophene by bacteria

World Journal of Microbiology & Biotechnology, 1994
Four out of 187 strains, from enrichment cultures of dibenzothiophene (DBT), grew on DBT or thiophene 2-carboxylate as S sources. The four isolates, presumptively identified as Agrobacterium sp., Xanthomonas sp. and Corynebacterium spp., individually and together desulphurized DBT, producing 2-hydroxybiphenyl and sulphate.

A substituentpara-to-orthopositioning effect drives the photoreactivity of a dibenzothiophene-based oxalate series used as LED-excitable free radical photoinitiators

Polymer Chemistry, 2019
Dibenzothiophene-based oxalate derivatives were synthesized as type I photoinitiators, and their photoinitiation properties depend on the substituentpara-to-orthopositioning effect of the oxalates.

Biotransformation of dibenzothiophene to dibenzothiophene sulfone by Pseudomonas putida

Canadian Journal of Microbiology, 1989
A strain of Pseudomonas putida was isolated that transforms dibenzothiophene (DBT) to DBT sulfone (DBT-5-dioxide) via DBT-5-oxide. It also degrades DBT to 3-hydroxy-2-formyl benzothiophene via an alternate and previously described pathway, and to an unidentified red crystalline compound.

Poly(Dibenzothiophene-Terphenyl Piperidinium) for High-performance Anion Exchange Membrane Water Electrolysis.

Angewandte Chemie
The anion exchange membrane water electrolysis is widely regarded as the next-generation technology for producing green hydrogen. The OH- conductivity of the anion exchange membrane plays a key role in the practical implementation of this device.

A new dibenzothiophene-based dual-channel chemosensor for cyanide with aggregation induced emission

Journal of Photochemistry and Photobiology A: Chemistry, 2019
A new dibenzothiophene-based barbituric acid derivative (DTB) with an aggregation induced emission (AIE) effect was synthesized as a naked-eye colorimetric and fluorescent probe for CN−.

Solid−Liquid Equilibria of Dibenzothiophene and Dibenzothiophene Sulfone in Organic Solvents

Journal of Chemical & Engineering Data, 2007
This work reports the solid−liquid equilibria of several binary systems formed by solvent (1) + dibenzothiophene (2) and solvent (1) + dibenzothiophene sulfone (2). At least six experimental points were obtained to trace the solid−liquid equilibrium curve, using the visual technique to determine the change of phase.

DFT Study on the Dibenzothiophene Pyrolysis Mechanism in Petroleum

Energy & Fuels, 2019
Dibenzothiophene sulfur (DBTs), the most stable sulfur species, is present in remarkable concentration in petroleum. Removal of DBTs is with profound significance in environmental protection.

The vibrations of dibenzothiophene

Spectrochimica Acta Part A: Molecular Spectroscopy, 1971
Abstract Infrared spectra polarized along three orthogonal directions in single crystals of dibenzothiophene- h 8 and - d 8 have been recorded from 50 to 3500 cm −1 . The polarized Raman spectra of the single crystals have been measured in all possible orientations and this information has been supplemented by the measurement of depolarization ...

Selective adsorption and separation of dibenzothiophene by molecularly imprinted polymer on the surface of porous magnetic carbon nanospheres

Fullerenes, nanotubes, and carbon nanostructures, 2019
A molecularly imprinted polymer was deposited on the surface of porous magnetic carbon nanosphere to obtain a sorbent for dibenzothiophene. The molecularly imprinted polymer was synthesized by using porous magnetic carbon nanosphere as the support ...
