Development and production of allogeneic cord blood‐derived red blood cell concentrates for transfusion to extremely preterm neonates, the All‐Cord study

open access: yesTransfusion, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Extremely preterm neonates often require red blood cell (RBC) transfusions derived from adult donors. These transfusions introduce adult hemoglobin into a neonatal hematopoietic system dominated by fetal hemoglobin (HbF), shifting the oxygen‐dissociation curve and increasing oxygen delivery to immature tissues.

Metabolomic Mapping of Greek Olive Leaves by Untargeted NMR‐Based Profiling and LC–HRMS Dereplication

open access: yesAnalytical Science Advances, Volume 7, Issue 2, December 2026.
ABSTRACT Olive tree leaves are phytochemically rich yet insufficiently valorised in terms of systematic cultivar‐based characterisation and exploitation, and are an abundant olive industry side‐product. This study represents the first large‐scale metabolome mapping based on 340 leaf extracts from five major Greek cultivars (Amfissis, Koroneiki, Manaki,

Dicarboxylic acids and ketoacids formed in degradable polyethylenes by zip depolymerisation through a cyclic transition state

open access: yes, 1997
The intermediate and final degradation products formed in six different low-density polyethylene (LDPE) films modified with either starch and/or pro-oxidants or photosensitizers (Scott-Gilead formulation [SG]) were investigated.

Phosphate‐Terminated Nb2C MXene as Efficient Catalyst for the Transformation of Glucose Into 5‐Hydroxymethylfurfural With 3077 h−1 Turnover Frequency

open access: yesChemSusChem, Volume 19, Issue 13, 14 July 2026.
A new phosphate‐terminated Nb2C MXene has been developed as an efficient heterogeneous catalyst to convert glucose into 5‐hydroximethylfurfural. Characterization of the Nb2C‐PO4 catalyst has proven the presence of phosphate and the integrity of the MXene laminar structure.

Engineered Metal–Organic Frameworks‐Based Materials for Environmental Detection

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, Volume 9, Issue 4, July 2026.
Engineered metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) regulated by various material modification strategies are discussed for environmental contaminant detection under different sensing mechanisms, providing future improvements of MOFs in environmental detection. Sensitive and selective detection of contaminants is crucial for environmental protection.
