Enantioselective Synthesis of Diamino Dicarboxylic Acids

The Journal of Organic Chemistry, 1999
The preparation of alkyl diamino dicarboxylic acids with high optical purity (100% ee, >98.5% de) and high yields based on asymmetric catalytic hydrogenation is described. The required prochiral precursors are prepared from dialdehydes and Z-, Boc-, and acetyl-protected phosphonoglycines.

Complexation and sensing of dicarboxylate anions and dicarboxylic acids

Coordination Chemistry Reviews, 2015
Abstract The relevance of dicarboxylate anions and dicarboxylic acids in biological and industrial processes requires that such species are easily detected and quantified. In this regard, the research about synthetic receptors, which can offer a straightforward analytical signal, has produced significant advances in the last decades.

Organotellurium derivatives of dicarboxylic acids

Journal of Organometallic Chemistry, 1976
Abstract The freshly prepared sodium salts of ortho-phthalic acid and tetrabromo ortho-phthalic acid react with diaryltellurium dichlorides in chloroform to afford new dimeric organotellurium carboxylates, R2Te(C8X4O4)2 (X = H, Br). The new compounds contain fourteen membered rings and the detailed structure is discussed particularly in the light of ...

[46] Acylation with dicarboxylic acid anhydrides

1972
Publisher Summary This chapter discusses acylation with dicarboxylic acid anhydrides. Succinic and maleic anhydride, or analogs of these two compounds, is utilized in a variety of protein modification studies. During the course of the reaction most of the anhydride is hydrolyzed.

Urinary dicarboxylic acids in Reye syndrome

The Journal of Pediatrics, 1985
Urine from 12 patients with Reye syndrome was examined by gas-liquid chromatography for identification of organic acids. Large amounts of lactic acid, dicarboxylic acids (adipic, suberic, and sebacic), and 3-OH butyric acid were noted. The mean (+/- SD) total dicarboxylic acid concentration was 0.98 +/- 0.24 mg/mg creatinine, compared with 0.006 +/- 0 ...
