Binder‐free, self‐standing hard carbon electrodes (SSEs) are designed and utilized as anodes in Na‐ion batteries, demonstrating a high reversible capacity of 320 mAh g−1. Coating the SSEs with nanographite via plasma‐enhanced chemical vapor deposition limits the formation of solid electrolyte interphase, thereby improving the iCE to 92.5%.

π‐Complexes of Main‐Group Metal Cations: Exploration of Lewis Acid Reactivity
A series of cationic main‐group complexes was obtained using the neutral, zwitterionic ligand IDP. The Lewis acidity of these complexes is explored by catalytic hydrophosphinations and halide addition reactions. The latter allow for the isolation of unusual π‐complexes of tetryliumylidenes.

Abstract The coordination chemistry of the planar, doubly π‐extended bipyridine analog, 6,6′,7,7′‐biphenanthridine (p‐biphe), is presented. The phenanthridine units in p‐biphe are fused together at the 6‐ and 7‐ positions, and the resulting rigid ligand is compared with the more flexible parent “biphe” fused only at the 6‐positions.
