Conjunctival dichlorvos poisoning
Toxicology Letters, 2006Kerosine is a middle distillate with carbon numbers ranging from C9 to C16 and boiling from 145 to 300 ◦C. Kerosines are complex mixtures of many thousands of individual hydrocarbons. The analytical data that do exist show that the major components of all kerosines are branched and straight chain paraffins and naphthenes (cycloparaffins).

Metrifonate and Dichlorvos: Cytogenetic Investigations
Acta Pharmacologica et Toxicologica, 1981Abstract Contradictory results are found in the literature about the cytogenetical effects of dichlorvos and metrifonate in mammals whereas their chromosome breaking ability was demonstrated in plant and Drosophila cells. They were tested on both in vitro and in vivo cells for chromosome breakage.

Alkylating Properties of Dichlorvos (DDVP)
Acta Pharmacologica et Toxicologica, 1981Dichlorvos (DDVP) is a methylating agent. In DNA from mice given 1.9 ± 10‐6 mol/kg of DDVP, a degree of alkylation of guanine‐N‐7 amounting to 8 ± 10‐13 mol methyl per g DNA, was found. From this, a rate of clearence of 29 hr‐1 was estimated. This value is in reasonable agreement with the value (55 hr‐1), calculated from published data on the ...

Journal of Environmental Science and Health. Part B - Pesticides, Food Contaminants, and Agricultural Wastes, 2020
In this study, the similarities and differences of the adsorption mechanisms between dichlorvos and pymetrozine and coconut fiber biowaste sorbent (CF-BWS) were investigated. CF-BWS was produced using the slow pyrolysis process at 600 °C for 4 h.

An inhalational toxicity study with dichlorvos
Archiv fr Toxikologie, 1972Dogs, cats and rabbits were continuously exposed for eight weeks to dichlorvos atmospheres generated from impregnated polyvinyl chloride strips. Concentrations of dichlorvos in air were produced in the range 0.05 to 0.3 μg/l. No effects were found on the general health, behaviour, plasma and erythrocyte cholinesterase activities and ...

Metabolic fate of dichlorvos in swine
Archiv fr Toxikologie, 1972The metabolic fate of dichlorvos in swine has been studied by short- and long-term oral and inhalation exposure studies utilizing32P-,36Cl-, or14C-labeled dichlorvos. In dietary studies slowrelease formulations in PVC were used. No intact dichlorvos could be determined in the blood or tissues of treated animals, and, of the recognized metabolites, only
