Chemistry of Metrifonate and Dichlorvos
Acta Pharmacologica et Toxicologica, 1981Abstract This is a survey of the chemistry of metrifonate and dichlorvos, including methods of synthesizing hydroxy‐phosphonic acid esters and enolphosphates. The reactive centres of metrifonate and dichlorvos and some kinetic measurements are included. Reaction mechanisms and the insecticidal mode of action are discussed.

Ultrasonic Irradiation of Dichlorvos: Decomposition Mechanism
Water Research, 2001The sonochemical degradation of dichlorvos in a batch reactor is investigated. Dichlorvos was irradiated with 500 kHz ultrasound at input powers ranging from 86 to 161 W. Acoustic power and sparge gas are two factors which greatly affect sonochemical degradation efficiency.

Dichlorvos residues in food arising from the domestic use of dichlorvos PVC strips
Pesticide Science, 1972AbstractTrials have been carried out with “VAPONA”“VAPONA” is a Shell trade mark. Pest Strips under practical conditions in houses in the U.K. and France. The purpose of these trials was to determine the residues of dichlorvos that occur in food prepared in kitchens in which strips were placed. Samples, each of which consisted of the combined food and

Dichlorvos-induced developmental toxicity in Zebrafish
Toxicology and Industrial Health, 2010The present study examined effects of the pesticide dichlorvos (O-(2,2-dichlorovinyl)-O,O dimethylphosphate [DDVP]) on embryonic development of zebrafish. In a first set of experiments, early life stages of zebrafish were exposed to five concentrations (5, 10, 25, 50, and 100 mg/L—1) of DDVP for 96 hours post fertilization (hpf). The 24-hpf LC50 value

Protectants for Stored Rough Rice: Gardona, Dichlorvos, and a Gardona-Dichlorvos Mixture2
Journal of Economic Entomology, 1972Gardona® (2-chloro-1-(2,4,5-trichlorophenyl)vinyl dimethyl phosphate), dichlorvos, and a Gardona:dichlorvos (2:1) mixture were evaluated as bulk treatments in small-bin tests for controlling or preventing stored-product-insect infestations in stored rough rice.

[Studies on dichlorvos (DDVP). I. Testing of dichlorvos for carcinogenic activity in mice].
Archiv fur Geschwulstforschung, 1988Up to now the question remained open, whether or not the pesticide Dichlorvos, should be classified as a carcinogen. We report on our results of long-time oral administration to male and female C57B1/6/Bln-mice of Dichlorvos to test the compound for carcinogenic activity.
