Efficacy of Diclazuril against Turkey Coccidiosis in Dose-Titration Studies
Avian Diseases, 1989Diclazuril, a new anticoccidial drug, was tested for its efficacy in turkeys against single Eimeria infections. Dose-titration studies indicated that diclazuril at dosages of 0.1, 0.5, 1, and 2 ppm was highly effective against the major pathogenic species-E. adenoeides, E. gallopavonis, and E.

Activity of diclazuril against Toxoplasma gondii in cultured cells and mice
American Journal of Veterinary Research, 1994Summary The capability of diclazuril, a benzeneacetonitrile anticoccidial agent, to inhibit development of tachyzoites of Toxoplasma gondii was examined in cultured human foreskin fibroblast cells and in Hsd:ICR mice. Treatment of infected cell cultures with 10.0, 1.0, 0.1 or 0.01 μg of diclazuril/ml for 3 days resulted in > 99% reduction in ...

Control strategies using diclazuril against coccidiosis in goat kids
Parasitology Research, 2011Coccidiosis is probably the main parasitic disease affecting goat kids around the weaning period, leading to high economic losses in goat production due to deaths and delayed growth rates of infected animals. A total of 101 kids of 2-4 weeks of age, naturally infected with Eimeria spp., were divided into five groups and studies were conducted to ...

Anticoccidial efficacy of diclazuril in pheasants.
The Veterinary record, 1990Diclazuril, a new anticoccidial drug, was tested in young pheasants artificially infected with the three most common pathogenic species of Eimeria, E colchici, E duodenalis and E phasiani. In two replicate experiments each with 40 birds the mortalities in the infected controls were 50 and 25 per cent.

Two-dimensional electrophoresis (2-DE) was employed to compare the proteome of Diclazuril-resistance Eimeria tenella with that of sensitive strains for identifying unique proteins of these stains. 5 protein spots were found to express differentially. Four spots which remarkably were measured by matrix assisted laser desorption ionization time of flight

THE EFFICACY OF DICLAZURIL IN FLOOR-MANAGED REPLACEMENT CHICKENS
THEORY AND PRACTICE OF PARASITIC DISEASE CONTROLRussian poultry farming is currently developing at a fast pace. At the same time, parasitic diseases of chickens are widespread and cause great economic damage to the industry. One of these pathologies is avian eimeriosis, which is caused by a protozoan parasite and is considered one of the main threats to poultry farming.
