Toward Capacitive In‐Memory‐Computing: A Device to Systems Level Perspective on the Future of Artificial Intelligence Hardware

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
Capacitive, charge‐domain compute‐in‐memory (CIM) stores weights as capacitance, eliminating DC sneak paths and IR‐drop, yielding near‐zero standbypower. In this perspective, we present a device to systems level performance analysis of most promising architectures and predict apathway for upscaling capacitive CIM for sustainable edge computing ...

Development of dielectric-barrier-discharge ionization

Analytical and Bioanalytical Chemistry, 2014
Dielectric-barrier-discharge ionization is an ambient-ionization technique. Since its first description in 2007, it has attracted much attention in such fields as biological analysis, food safety, mass-spectrometry imaging, forensic identification, and reaction monitoring for its advantages, e.g., low energy consumption, solvent-free method, and easy ...

Dielectric barrier discharges in analytical chemistry

The Analyst, 2011
The present review reflects the importance of dielectric barrier discharges in analytical chemistry. Special about this discharge is-and in contrast to usual discharges with direct current-that the plasma is separated from one or two electrodes by a dielectric barrier.

Characteristics of dielectric barrier discharge microplasma

2013 IEEE Industry Applications Society Annual Meeting, 2013
Emission spectroscopy analysis and imaging technique were used to study the microplasma phenomena. The microplasma discharge in Ar and N2/Ar was analyzed along the discharge gap area and also for specific periods of time during the discharge. Spatial and temporal distribution showed the propagation of light emission from anode towards cathode.

Characteristics of Dielectric Barrier Discharge

AIP Conference Proceedings, 2007
The most efficient method to get cold plasma at atmospheric pressure is dielectric barrier discharge(DBD). By this method, which has application area at industry, non‐equilibrium plasma conditions can be generated. In DBD’s, short‐lived large numbers of electrical breakdowns called microdischarges are significant.

Dielectric barrier discharge devices

2022
The use of dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) plasmas for gas phase dissociation of analyte molecules, after vapor generation and prior to spectrometric detection, is discussed. Their performance in terms of sensitivity, detection limit, resistance to interferences, etc. is evaluated and compared to atomizers/excitation sources routinely used in atomic

The influence of barrier on dielectric barrier discharge

SPIE Proceedings, 2011
A new method is presented for measuring the electric parameters in dielectric barrier discharge (DBD), and the effect of barrier on discharge is investigated. Results show that the number of discharge current is variable in different half period of applied voltage, and the current pulse width is in the range of 160 to 280ns.
