Characteristics of Dielectric Barrier Discharge
AIP Conference Proceedings, 2007The most efficient method to get cold plasma at atmospheric pressure is dielectric barrier discharge(DBD). By this method, which has application area at industry, non‐equilibrium plasma conditions can be generated. In DBD’s, short‐lived large numbers of electrical breakdowns called microdischarges are significant.

Dielectric barrier discharges in analytical chemistry
The Analyst, 2011The present review reflects the importance of dielectric barrier discharges in analytical chemistry. Special about this discharge is-and in contrast to usual discharges with direct current-that the plasma is separated from one or two electrodes by a dielectric barrier.

Characteristics of dielectric barrier discharge microplasma
2013 IEEE Industry Applications Society Annual Meeting, 2013Emission spectroscopy analysis and imaging technique were used to study the microplasma phenomena. The microplasma discharge in Ar and N2/Ar was analyzed along the discharge gap area and also for specific periods of time during the discharge. Spatial and temporal distribution showed the propagation of light emission from anode towards cathode.

Dielectric barrier discharge devices
2022The use of dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) plasmas for gas phase dissociation of analyte molecules, after vapor generation and prior to spectrometric detection, is discussed. Their performance in terms of sensitivity, detection limit, resistance to interferences, etc. is evaluated and compared to atomizers/excitation sources routinely used in atomic

The dielectric barrier corona discharge (DBCD) in a wire-cylinder configuration and the dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) in a coaxial cylinder configuration are studied. The discharge current in DBD has higher pulse amplitude than in DBCD. The dissipated power and the gas gap voltage are calculated by analyzing the measured Lissajous figure. DBCD has

The influence of barrier on dielectric barrier discharge
SPIE Proceedings, 2011A new method is presented for measuring the electric parameters in dielectric barrier discharge (DBD), and the effect of barrier on discharge is investigated. Results show that the number of discharge current is variable in different half period of applied voltage, and the current pulse width is in the range of 160 to 280ns.

Efficiency enhancement of a dielectric barrier plasma discharge by dielectric barrier optimization
Review of Scientific Instruments, 2010The characteristic feature of a dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) is the dielectric barrier placed between the electrodes. In the present work, the influence of the dielectric barrier to the properties of a DBD in air was investigated. Spectroscopic characterization of the DBD and electrical measurements were carried out.

Characteristics of dielectric barrier discharge
IEEE Conference Record - Abstracts. 2002 IEEE International Conference on Plasma Science (Cat. No.02CH37340), 2003Summary form only given. The frequency characteristics of dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) have been studied for optimizing discharge efficiency. The experiment was performed with various experiment conditions to find the relation between the discharge frequency and power consumption.

Dynamics of dielectric micropore discharge in atmospheric pulsed dielectric barrier discharge
Physics of Plasmas, 2023In this paper, a two-dimensional self-consistent fluid model was developed in atmospheric helium for dielectric barrier discharge excited by microsecond voltage pulses, in which a dielectric sheet with micropore is inserted in the interelectrode gap.

Asymmetric discharges of dielectric barrier discharge in atmospheric air
Applied Physics Letters, 2023We report in this Letter a kind of asymmetric discharge mode in positive and negative half-cycles of dielectric barrier discharge in ambient air. This phenomenon is characterized by homogeneous and filamentary discharges occurring alternately in the two half-cycles, using two different materials of alumina ceramic and quartz as the dielectric barrier ...
