The effect of air plasma on barrier dielectric surface in dielectric barrier discharge
Applied Surface Science, 2010Abstract Barrier dielectric is an important part of atmospheric pressure dielectric barrier discharge (AP-DBD), which partly affects discharge characteristics. Conversely, discharge plasma also has influence on dielectric surface properties. To investigate this influence, some experiments were carried out on a home-built AP-DBD system with glass ...

Discharge Characteristics of an Atmospheric Dielectric-Barrier Discharge Jet
IEEE Transactions on Plasma Science, 2015This paper reports that a plasma generator at atmospheric pressure, which is characterized by double dielectric layers and a stable dielectric-barrier discharge (DBD) excited by a sinusoidal power supply of 30 kHz, successfully generates a low-temperature argon plasma jet. The DBD has a coaxial and cylindrical configuration, with an annular gap of 2.35

NO removal and discharge characteristics using dielectric barrier discharge
2017 IEEE 21st International Conference on Pulsed Power (PPC), 2017An experimental study on NO removal was undertaken using cylindrical dielectric barrier discharge (DBD). The aim is to investigate reaction pathway and the role of reactive species such as O, O 3 and OH for NO removal. Under different concentration of O 2 , H 2 O and NO, the dominant reactive species was investigated quantitatively.

Space charge effects in a dielectric barrier discharge barrier discharge plasma
The 30th International Conference on Plasma Science, 2003. ICOPS 2003. IEEE Conference Record - Abstracts., 2003Summary form only given, as follows. Dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) is the one of well-known discharge types at the atmosphere pressure. The characteristic of this discharge can be expressed in terms of a randomly distributed microdischarge, which is heterogeneously formed cylindrical current filament in a discharge space.

Compact dielectric barrier discharge excilamps
Physica Scripta, 2010In this work, we studied the energy, time, spatial and spectral characteristics of compact KrCl-, XeCl-, XeBr- and Xe2-excilamps of various designs. The maximum radiation power density was ~30 mW cm−2 at an efficiency of 2.5%. It is shown that under optimum conditions in terms of UV efficiency, the discharges for all excilamp designs have a diffuse ...

Temporal Behaviour of Micro-discharge in Dielectric Barrier Discharges
Chinese Physics Letters, 2002A special dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) device consisting of two water electrodes has been designed. The temporal behaviour of the micro-discharge (filament) in the DBD in air at atmospheric pressure is measured by using an optical method. The nonsymmetrical characteristic of the filament has been discovered for the first time.
