Discharge analysis and electrical modeling of a coaxial dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) lamp
2008 IEEE 35th International Conference on Plasma Science, 2008Dielectric barrier discharges (DBDs) occur by the presence of at least one insulating layer in contact with the discharge between two planar or cylindrical electrodes connected to an AC or pulse power supply. Dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) consists of filamentary micro-discharges under nonequilibrium, atmospheric pressure plasma condition.

Dielectric Barrier Discharges (DBD) in Gases at Atmospheric Pressure: Effect of Charge Trapping
2005 12th International Symposium on Electrets, 2006We present theoretical modeling of atmospheric pressure discharges in air and helium where one of the electrodes is covered by a dielectric (dielectric barrier discharge, DBD), as well as ultra-high speed imaging studies for the case of He. It is found that charge on the dielectric barrier surface strongly influences the characteristics of individual ...

Dielectric Barrier Discharge (DBD) dynamic modeling for high voltage insulation
2011 Electrical Insulation Conference (EIC)., 2011One of the best approaches in order to significantly increase the dielectric strength of an air-insulated system is the creation of an "active" insulation by means of covering some of or all metal conductors with thin layers of solid dielectric (barriers) known as Dielectric Barrier Discharge (DBD). Charge accumulation on the surfaces of the dielectric

Abstract Ca0.7Sr0.3TiO3 was sintered adding Li2Si2O5, and used as a dielectric barrier of DBD to decompose CO2 for the first time. DBD plasma was successively generated using Ca0.7Sr0.3TiO3. CO2 was converted to CO and O2 by DBD plasma without catalyst and reducing substance.

Development of a dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) cryo-microplasma: generation and diagnostics
Plasma Sources Science and Technology, 2008We developed a cryo-microplasma, which can continuously control gas temperature below room temperature and below the freezing point of water. To develop the cryo-microplasma, we first developed an atmospheric-pressure low-temperature microplasma that can suppress the increase in its gas temperature.

[The fluorescence emission spectrum of NO in dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) plasma].
Guang pu xue yu guang pu fen xi = Guang pu, 2004Dielectric barrier discharge was used to study the NO molecules of the atmosphere pollution, and the fluorescence emission spectrum in the range of 210-280 nm at low pressure was obtained in this plasma. The spectrum shows obviously the structure of double apices, whose intensity distribution in accord with Frank-Condon principle and the maximum lies ...

Low-Speed Flow Control Using Dielectric Barrier Discharge (DBD)
2006Abstract : DBDs were created in a quiescent environment, and particle image velocimetry (PIV) was used to obtain field measurements of velocity induced by the discharge. These PIV measurements included random phase measurements and measurements phase-locked to the DBD driving frequency.

Triboelectric charging is used in many applications including electricity nanogeneration, safety or electrostatic separation of insulating materials. Insulating granules charge must be the highest in electrostatic separators so that the electric field forces allow their separation.
