Acoustic Testing of the dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) plasma actuator

43rd AIAA Aerospace Sciences Meeting and Exhibit, 2005
The dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) plasma actuator has been shown to be effective for flow control. Much remains unanswered, however, as to how the actuator couples momentum into air. A better understanding of the coupling mechanism is crucial to determining the performance limitation of the actuator and the breadth of applications to which it can ...

An experimental study of atmospheric pressure dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) in argon

open access: yesAIP Conference Proceedings, 2014
In this paper, experimental results on atmospheric pressure argon dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) have been presented. The discharge was generated using a high voltage (0 to 20 kV) power supply operating at frequency of 10 to 30 kHz and was studied by means of electrical and optical measurements.

Study of detoxification of methyl parathion by dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) non-thermal plasma at gas-liquid interface:mechanism and bio-toxicity evaluation

Chemosphere, 2022
Methyl parathion (MP) as an organophosphorus pesticide has been used in the control of agricultural pests and diseases. Due to its high toxicity and persistence in the environment, MP may pose threat to human health when it is released into environmental

New local electrical diagnostic tool for dielectric barrier discharge (DBD)

Review of Scientific Instruments, 2021
A new diagnostic tool to study dielectric barrier discharges (DBDs) at atmospheric pressure by local electrical measurements is introduced. The square ground electrode is divided into 64 square segments (3.44 mm side length) so as to measure the discharge currents and gas voltages with spatial resolutions, which allows a 2D mapping.

Conjugation of soy protein isolate with carboxymethyl cellulose through dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) plasma.

Food Chemistry, 2022
The present study aimed to evaluate the physicochemical properties of dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) plasma grafted carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) and soy protein isolate (SPI). Therefore, the mixture of SPI and CMC was treated at 16, 18 and 20 kV for
