Treatment of organic pollutant by dielectrics discharges barriers (DBD) and gliding arc discharge

open access: yes, 2012
This work reports on using plasma process that produces in situ highly oxidizing species able to degrade organic compounds to study the treatment of organic pollutants. By this way, we studied the degradation of some organic pollutant by gliding arc plasma (Glidarc) and by dielectrics barriers discharges (DBD).

Inactivation of soybean trypsin inhibitor by dielectric-barrier discharge (DBD) plasma

Food Chemistry, 2017
Soybean trypsin inhibitor (STI) is considered as one of the most important anti-nutritional factors in soybeans. The objective of this study was to investigate the impacts and underling mechanisms of dielectric-barrier discharge (DBD) plasma on STI activities.

Dielectric Barrier Discharge (DBD) Plasmas and Their Applications

2017
Gas discharge plasmas, also known as low-temperature plasmas, have drawn much attention in past few decades because of their importance in many technological developments. In this chapter, recent development in producing cost effective plasmas at atmospheric pressure has been introduced along with a brief description of low pressure gas discharge.

The Mutual Conversion of CO2 and CO in Dielectric Barrier Discharge (DBD)

Plasma Chemistry and Plasma Processing, 2003
Non-equilibrium plasma, which was engendered by dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) was used to analyze the mutual conversion between CO2 and CO. The results showed that the conversion ratio of CO increased monotonously with the increasing voltage. But CO2 was not so. Its conversion ratio reached maximum when the voltage was 3600 V in Ar system. It also
