Electrochemical Behavior of Flame‐Sprayed Sc‐Doped AlCoCrFeMo High‐Entropy Alloy Coatings in 3.5% Sodium Chloride Solution

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Scandium (Sc)‐doped AlCoCrFeMo HEA coatings are fabricated via flame spraying with 0.1, 0.3, and 0.5 wt% Sc additions. Among these, the HEA‐Sc0.3 coating exhibits the highest corrosion resistance, indicated by a more positive corrosion potential and lower current density.

Cathodic Cage Plasma Deposition of Nanostructured Cu–Fe–Se Coatings on Poly(methyl Methacrylate)

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Nanostructured Cu–Fe–Se coatings are deposited on PMMA by a modified cathodic cage plasma process, enabling low‐temperature deposition on polymer substrates. A transition from discontinuous to compact morphology is observed with temperature, with optimal properties at 200°C, where improved CuFeSe2‐type bonding, lowest sheet resistance, and favorable ...

Enhanced dielectric properties and breakdown strength of polymer/carbon nanotube composites by coating an SrTiO3 layer

open access: yese-Polymers, 2021
In this work, strontium titanate (STO) was coated on the surface of carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) through a sol–gel method to form a core–shell structure hybrid powder (STO@MWCNTs).

Electrical tree modelling in dielectric polymers using a phase-field regularized cohesive zone model

open access: yesMaterials & Design, 2023
Electrical treeing is a leading cause to the eventual breakdown of dielectric polymers under high voltages. This paper presents a simulation scheme developed based on the phase-field regularized cohesive zone model (PF-CZM) for electrical tree modelling.

Microstructure Reconstruction in Battery Electrodes Using Machine Learning Based on Low‐Voltage Focused Ion Beam–Scanning Electron Microscopy Tomography Images

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Low‐voltage FIB‐SEM tomography combined with a image preprocessing pipeline improves phase contrast and enables reliable machine‐learning segmentation of conductive networks in lithium‐ion battery electrodes. Structural descriptors are extracted from segmented images, done semimanually and automated, and compared.

The effect of molecular structure of dielectric fluids on their conduction and breakdown

open access: yes, 1990
Several synthetic dielectric fluids with significantly different molecular structures were investigated with regard to their conduction and breakdown behavior to determine the relation between these processes under DC and AC conditions. M&DBT, DTE, DINP,

Some Factors Effecting on the Dielectric Strength for (PVC- Kaolin) Composites [PDF]

open access: yesEngineering and Technology Journal, 2011
This research includes the effect of kaolin additions to the polymer matrix (PVC) and study some factors affecting to dielectric strength. The kaolin powder was added as percentage by weight (1,2,3 and 4%) to PVC, and the specimens formed by hot pressing
