Dielectric properties characterization of high dielectric constant thick films [PDF]

open access: yesMicrowave and Optical Technology Letters, 2010
AbstractA technique for the characterization of microwave dielectric properties of high dielectric constant thick films at room temperature is proposed, using multilayered coplanar waveguide transmission lines with high dielectric constant thick films deposited over the lines.Besides the simplicity, the technique allows the characterization of the ...

Dielectric Characterization of Doped M5

The Journal of Physical Chemistry B, 2008
We analyze the dielectric properties of the liquid crystal M5 used to investigate the electrohydrodynamics instability in nematic liquid crystals. We show that the spectra of the electrical impedance of doped samples of M5 with several concentrations of salt and of acid can be interpreted by assuming the doped liquid crystal as a dispersion of ions in ...

Dielectric characterization of coals

Canadian Journal of Physics, 2003
Application of an electromagnetic analysis for coal characterization is attempted. By time domain reflectometry (TDR), dispersion spectra in the DC – 5 GHz range of a wide variety of coals are obtained for room temperature. Static permittivity and relaxation frequency of the different samples are compared with parameters obtained by chemical analysis.

CHARACTERIZATION OF DIELECTRIC ELASTOMER PLANAR ACTUATORS

Sensors and Microsystems, 2002
This work intends to extend the electromechanical characterisation of dielectric elastomer actuators. Planar actuators were realised with a 50m-thick film of an acrylic elastomer coated with compliant electrodes. The isotonic transverse strain, the isometric transverse stress and the driving current, due to a 2 s high voltage impulse, were measured for

Characterization of Dielectric Walls of Capacitors

2020 IEEE 3rd International Conference on Dielectrics (ICD), 2020
This work presents the preliminary results of a study that proposes the development of capacitors with similar or better performance in terms of reliability and partial discharges (PD) level than their oil-impregnated counterparts. It presents the comparison of several configurations and technologies of layered dielectric films capacitors impregnated ...

Characterization of Metal Dielectric Photonic Crystals

Frontiers in Optics, 2006
Abstract We discuss a new photonic crystal structure that arise out of including extremely thin metallic inserts in a standard dielectric photonic crystal (DPC). We had denominated dielectric-metallic photonic crystal (DMPC) to these combined structures to distinguish them from the metal dielectric photonic crystal (MDPC) with a single dielectric ...

Dielectric Characterization of Surface Relaxivity

SPWLA 64th Annual Symposium Transactions, 2023
NMR and dielectric measurements provide unique petrophysical tools to probe the molecular dynamics of restricted geometries. Both techniques exhibit time-dependent relaxations sensitive to electromagnetic surface interactions and sensitivity to diffusion length scales in the case of NMR relaxation. However, diffusion rates typical for pore fluids limit

Characterization and Applications of Dielectrics

2021
A polymer is an expansive atom (macromolecule) created about rehashing decimal structural units regularly joined by covalent compound bonds. At the same time, polymer is prevalent in use and is recommended over plastic. This chapter contains the characterization and applications of polymer. It handled also the polymer forms, classification of polymers.
