Enhancing Low‐Temperature Performance of Sodium‐Ion Batteries via Anion‐Solvent Interactions

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
DOL is introduced into electrolytes as a co‐solvent, increasing slat solubility, ion conductivity, and the de‐solvent process, and forming an anion‐rich solvent shell due to its high interaction with anion. With the above virtues, the batteries using this electrolyte exhibit excellent cycling stability at low temperatures. Abstract Sodium‐ion batteries

An Enhanced Saline Soil Dielectric Constant Model Used for Remote Sensing Soil Moisture and Salinity Retrieval

open access: yesRemote Sensing
The soil dielectric constant model is essential for retrieving soil properties based on microwave remote sensing. However, the existing saline soil dielectric constant models perform poorly in simulating the dielectric constant of soil with high water ...

Dielectric study of Clove oil

open access: yesJournal of Ayurveda and Integrative Medicine, 2018
Dielectric properties of clove oil were determined using an impedance gain phase analyzer (HP 4194 A) at discrete frequencies between 10 kHz and 3 MHz and a range of temperature between 25 °C and 45 °C.

Extrinsic models for the dielectric response of CaCu{3}Ti{4}O{12}

open access: yes, 2003
The large, temperature-independent, low-frequency dielectric constant recently observed in single-crystal CaCu{3}Ti{4}O{12} is most plausibly interpreted as arising from spatial inhomogenities of its local dielectric response.

All‐in‐One Analog AI Hardware: On‐Chip Training and Inference with Conductive‐Metal‐Oxide/HfOx ReRAM Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An all‐in‐one analog AI accelerator is presented, enabling on‐chip training, weight retention, and long‐term inference acceleration. It leverages a BEOL‐integrated CMO/HfOx ReRAM array with low‐voltage operation (<1.5 V), multi‐bit capability over 32 states, low programming noise (10 nS), and near‐ideal weight transfer.

A simple electrostatic model applicable to biomolecular recognition

open access: yes, 2009
An exact, analytic solution for a simple electrostatic model applicable to biomolecular recognition is presented. In the model, a layer of high dielectric constant material (representative of the solvent, water) whose thickness may vary separates two ...

Modulating Two‐Photon Absorption in a Pyrene‐Based MOF Series: An In‐Depth Investigation of Structure–Property Relationships

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study investigates H4TBAPy‐based metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) ‐ NU‐1000, NU‐901, SrTBAPy, and BaTBAPy ‐ for multiphoton absorption (MPA) performance. It observes topology‐dependent variations in the 2PA cross‐section, with BaTBAPy exhibiting the highest activity.

Selenium substitution for dielectric constant improvement and hole-transfer acceleration in non-fullerene organic solar cells

open access: yesNature Communications
Dielectric constant of non-fullerene acceptors plays a critical role in organic solar cells in terms of exciton dissociation and charge recombination. Current acceptors feature a dielectric constant of 3-4, correlating to relatively high recombination ...

Dielectric Engineering With the Environment Material in 2-D Semiconductor Devices

open access: yesIEEE Journal of the Electron Devices Society, 2018
A theoretical study that highlights the dielectric constant modulation effect of the surrounding environment material (EM) on 2-D semiconductor devices is presented. With graphene nanoribbon as the vehicle, it is shown that the dielectric constant of the
