Size-Dependent Bruggeman Approach for Dielectric-Magnetic Composite Materials

open access: yes, 2004
Expressions arising from the Bruggeman approach for the homogenization of dielectric-magnetic composite materials, without ignoring the sizes of the spherical particles, are presented. These expressions exhibit the proper limit behavior.

Ionic Liquid‐Based Reversible Metal Electrodeposition for Adaptive Radiative Thermoregulation Under Extreme Environments

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A wideband tunable electrochromic device with dynamic thermal emissivity control is demonstrated. The system enables adaptive heat regulation via electrochemically modulated silver deposition, achieving efficient cooling and heating states. The flexible design ensures mechanical robustness under bending conditions, making it promising for portable and ...

Microwave Properties of Dielectric Materials [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
In recent years, the study of newer types of dielectric materials and compositions has been of great interest. The quest for new, innovative and easily obtainable dielectric materials that yield predictable and controllable permittivity and permeability values with very low dielectric loss has always been fruitful.

Extrinsic models for the dielectric response of CaCu{3}Ti{4}O{12}

open access: yes, 2003
The large, temperature-independent, low-frequency dielectric constant recently observed in single-crystal CaCu{3}Ti{4}O{12} is most plausibly interpreted as arising from spatial inhomogenities of its local dielectric response.

Analyzing Electronic Excitations and Exciton Binding Energies in Y6 Films

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The Y6 molecule is used for increasing the efficiency of organic solar cells. The exciton binding energy is calculated for ensembles of Y6 molecules that are representative of the typically used films. The calculations show that the excitons typically spread out over many molecules.
