Research of Dielectric Materials.
1964Abstract : Phase I of this work was concerned with electron impact ionization and attachment in polyatomic gases. These processes were examined using a mass spectrometer operating with a retarding potential difference electron source. Ionization and attachment coefficients were measured using an electron swarm or Townsend technique.

Nonlinear Dielectric Materials
Proceedings of the IRE, 1955The following is a brief description of nonlinear dielectrics from the standpoint of the fundamental physics involved. Specific available materials and technical applications are considered only by way of illustration of general properties. It is shown that, although dielectric nonlinearity and ferroelectricity are quite different phenomena, the fact ...

Dielectric Properties of Materials
1991The interaction of electromagnetic radiation with a solid may be described either microscopically or macroscopically according to requirements. In a microscopic picture one would speak, for instance, of the absorption of a photon via the creation of a phonon or an electron-hole pair.

Characterization of dielectric materials
Journal of Materials Science, 1981Recent examination of the form of the dielectric susceptibility as a function of frequency has shown the presence of power law behaviour at both low and high frequencies, with respect to the frequency of maximum loss. The magnitudes for the power law exponents of one hundred dielectric loss peaks are reported together with relevant experimental ...
