Dielectric measurement by h‐plane dielectric loaded resonator
Electronics and Communications in Japan (Part I: Communications), 1984AbstractThis paper describes the measurement of a complex dielectric constant by a resonance method using a rectangular cavity (cross section 3.48 × 1.58 cm2 and length 8.3 cm) filled with two layers of dielectric materials (the upper layer is air).

Dielectric measurements on electro-manipulation media
Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - General Subjects, 1993The permittivity and conductivity of solutions of sugars and sugar alcohols, such as are suitable for electric-field work on cells, were measured. The range of concentrations was 0-3 M (subject to solubility), and the frequency range was that commonly used in dielectrophoresis prior to electrofusion (200 kHz-2 MHz).

Measurements of dielectric constants
Physica, 1935Summary A description is given of an apparatus for measuring dielectric constants Compactness of construction is combined with great ease of manipulation, highest accuracy and use of minute quantities of material. Attention is called to the fact that the measurement of dielectric constants is waiting for application in a large field of pure as well ...

Measurement of Dielectric Properties
2014The ageing of the insulation of HV apparatus is not only caused by the high electric field strength but also by thermal and mechanical stresses that evolve during normal operation condition. This may lead to chemical processes associated with a gradual deterioration of the integral insulation properties.

Generalized Bridge Network for Dielectric Measurements
Transactions of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers, 1940RECENT experience with bridges for the determination of power factor and dielectric constant of small oil samples over a range of frequency has indicated the desirability of improving their characteristics. These improvements or developments have to do principally with changes in circuit arrangements, a generalized representation of the bridge network ...

Measurement of nonlinear dielectric properties - effect of dielectric dispersion
2001 Annual Report Conference on Electrical Insulation and Dielectric Phenomena (Cat. No.01CH37225), 2002Nonlinear dielectrics are being used increasingly for grading of high voltage systems as they facilitate compact designs. Many nonlinear dielectrics employed for high field grading are based on filled polymers. If the filler is not well compatibilized with the polymer, the interface between them is likely to have a much greater conductivity than either

Dielectric constant measurements of dielectric substrates at cryogenic temperature
IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium. 1995 Digest, 2002Waveguide samples of representative dielectric materials used as the substrates in frequency selective surface (FSS) subreflectors have been measured at -175/spl deg/C with a measurement uncertainty similar to that obtainable at ambient temperature. The samples were measured at X-band frequency using a novel method to overcome the sample test set-up ...

A Method for Measuring Dielectric Properties of Dielectric Laminates
2019 International Conference on Microwave and Millimeter Wave Technology (ICMMT), 2019In order to determine the unknown complex permittivity of any microwave dielectric laminate, this paper describes a reliable and accurate method for obtaining the complex permittivity. The coaxial probe method is used as the first step to predict the complex permittivity of unknown dielectric laminates.

Microwave Dielectric Constant Measurements
The Journal of Chemical Physics, 1956An improved microwave cavity technique for measuring dielectric constants was used to determine the molar polarization, dipole moment, and nonideality of UF6, freon-114, C4Cl3F7, and C6H6. Nonideality parameters were calculated for ClF3 from previous data.

Dielectric Loss and Dielectric Constant Measurements in Supercooled Liquids
Proceedings of the Physical Society. Section B, 1950In order to provide further evidence in support of the structural change which takes place in a liquid when it is supercooled, measurements of dielectric loss at high frequencies and of dielectric constant have been made on various polar liquids. The evidence from the dielectric loss measurements is inconclusive but for the four liquids tested a ...
