Dielectric permittivity estimation via TDR measurements
In this paper the determination of the permittivity of liquid or homogeneous dielectrics from their time-domain response is adressed. The analysis is based on a simplified model of the TDR measurement setup, where the probe is described by an ideal transmission line with a Debye permittivity. A simple formula to evaluate the permittivity is introduced,

EDX elemental map of the pre‐oxidized MgO–steel cermet anode cross section after electrolysis. The development of inert anodes for aluminum electrolysis remains challenging due to the high corrosivity of cryolite‐based melts at 950°C–1000°C. This study investigates the corrosion and process behavior of a carbon‐free MgO–steel cermet anode derived from ...

Microwave dielectric measurements of erythrocyte suspensions
Complex dielectric constants of human erythrocyte suspensions over a frequency range from 45 MHz to 26.5 GHz and a temperature range from 5 to 40 degrees C have been determined with the open-ended coaxial probe technique using an automated vector network analyzer (HP 8510).

This paper presents a novel approach to reducing oxide layers on metal powders using low‐temperature hydrogen dielectric barrier discharge plasmas at atmospheric pressure. Unlike conventional hydrogen‐plasma reductions, the powders do not contact the plasma directly.
