Modelling the Sensing Radius of a Coaxial Probe for Dielectric Characterisation of Biological Tissues

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
The open-ended coaxial probe is the most common measurement tool used to dielectrically characterize biological tissues. Most healthy and malignant biological tissues are macroscopically heterogeneous, with the exception of a few tissues, such as liver ...

Permittivity measurements for dielectric lens and dielectric rod antenna designs

open access: yes2016 9th International Kharkiv Symposium on Physics and Engineering of Microwaves, Millimeter and Submillimeter Waves (MSMW), 2016
For dielectric materials being often utilized in quasi-optical components, the permittivity was evaluated by free-space method in W-band. The obtained permittivity value was applied to designing of low aberration large aperture aspheric dielectric lens and dielectric waveguide rod antenna.

NanoMOF‐Based Multilevel Anti‐Counterfeiting by a Combination of Visible and Invisible Photoluminescence and Conductivity

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents novel anti‐counterfeiting tags with multilevel security features that utilize additional disguise features. They combine luminescent nanosized Ln‐MOFs with conductive polymers to multifunctional mixed‐matrix membranes and powder composites. The materials exhibit visible/NIR emission and matrix‐based conductivity even as black bodies.

Enhancing Low‐Temperature Performance of Sodium‐Ion Batteries via Anion‐Solvent Interactions

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
DOL is introduced into electrolytes as a co‐solvent, increasing slat solubility, ion conductivity, and the de‐solvent process, and forming an anion‐rich solvent shell due to its high interaction with anion. With the above virtues, the batteries using this electrolyte exhibit excellent cycling stability at low temperatures. Abstract Sodium‐ion batteries
