Hemispherical dielectric permittivity cell
Review of Scientific Instruments, 1978A three-terminal dielectric cell based on a hemispherical design is constructed for low-temperature measurements of dielectric permittivity. The cell has a small sample volume, is geometrically stable, and shows no frequency dependence of capacitance. Measurements on test samples are presented showing both cell constant stability data and the linearity

Generalized dielectric permittivity tensor
Journal of Applied Spectroscopy, 1985The authors deal with the question of what is to be done with the formalism of the electrodynamics of dispersive media based on the introduction of dielectric-permittivity tensors for purely harmonic fields when Voigt waves and waves of more general form exist.

Dielectric permittivity superlattice formation
Laser Physics, 2008A dielectric medium consisting of roughly polarized molecules has been treated as a 3D disordered spin system (spin glass). Having in view the study of the statistical properties of this system on a micrometer scale and nanosecond time scale of a standing electromagnetic wave, a microscopic approach has been developed.

Variable-Permittivity Artificial Dielectrics
1971 IEEE GMTT International Microwave Symposium Digest, 1971The use of liquid suspensions as a new class of microwave artificial dielectrics was explored. Liquid media were constructed with permittivities dependent on the strength of a low-frequency electric control field. Operating characteristics were measured for a 50 KW, 360/spl deg/ Ku-band waveguide phase shifter employing a practical liquid-suspension ...

Dielectric Permittivity of BiTeI
Inorganic Materials, 2004The dielectric permittivity and volume electron energy loss spectra of the ferroelectric semiconductor BiTeI are calculated for the E ⊥ c polarization in the range 0–12 eV. The spectra are decomposed into elementary components (13), and their principal parameters are evaluated.

Quantifying dielectric permittivities in the nonlinear regime
Journal of Physics: Condensed Matter, 2021Abstract In contrast to the static dielectric permittivity, ε , associated with linear response, its high-field counterpart, ε E , is not a material specific quantity, but
