The permittivity of polar dielectrics

Russian Journal of Physical Chemistry A, 2007
The best known works on the theory of permittivity of polar dielectrics are considered. Equations are obtained that relate the dipole moment of a molecule in a medium to substance permittivity and can be used in calculations of the polarization characteristics of rarefied gases and condensed polar dielectrics.

Mechanical and Dielectric Properties of Low Permittivity Dielectric Materials

MRS Proceedings, 1996
AbstractThe dielectric and mechanical properties of low permittivity dielectric/metal system consisting of fluoropolymers and copper were studied. The types of polymers in this study include sputtered Teflon, plasma-deposited fluoropolymers and the soluble Teflon AF1600.

Lattice Approach to the Dielectric Permittivity of Water

The Journal of Physical Chemistry, 1996
A lattice theory, based on a quasi-chemical approach, has been combined with a semimacroscopical theory to calculate the permittivity of water. At low field strength the magnitude and the temperature dependency of the calculated permittivity agree with experimental data. The high-field dielectric behavior of water has also been studied.

MATERIAL WITH HIGH DIELECTRIC PERMITTIVITY

Journal of Science and Innovative Development, 2020
The paper presents the results of studies of the fundamental problem of the materials science of ferroelectrics. Based on the literature review the relevant aspects of the problem – determining the laws governing the formation of the physical properties of ferroelectric materials and the possibility of controlling these properties using external ...

Effective permittivity of dielectric mixtures

IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing, 1988
General mixing formulas are derived for discrete scatterers immersed in a host medium. The inclusion particles are assumed to be ellipsoidal. The electric field inside the scatterers is determined by quasi-static analysis, assuming the diameter of the inclusion particles to be much smaller than one wavelength.

Dielectric permittivity and electric modulus in Bi2Ti4O11

open access: yesJournal of Chemical Physics, 2003
Frequency and temperature dependences of dielectric permittivity and electric modulus of pure and Ba-doped Bi2Ti4O11 were studied in the ranges of 1021–106 Hz and 2150–350 °C, respectively. We found that the antiferroelectric phase transition temperature

Dielectric permittivity of suspensions

Journal of Experimental and Theoretical Physics, 2007
A strict macroscopic analysis of the limiting long-wavelength permittivity of a model suspension is presented in which the suspension is considered as a finely dispersed system consisting of isotropic dielectric balls with piecewise-continuous radial permittivity profile. The analysis is performed within the framework of the notion of compact groups of

Generalized dielectric permittivity of ice

JETP Letters, 2015
The generalized dielectric permittivity describes the electric response of both bound charges (normal dielec tric constant) and free charges (conductivity). The generalized dielectric permittivity of ice (water) has been calculated within the model of classical quasiparticles as a function of the wave vector and frequency (q, ω).

Generalized dielectric permittivity tensor

Journal of Applied Spectroscopy, 1985
The authors deal with the question of what is to be done with the formalism of the electrodynamics of dispersive media based on the introduction of dielectric-permittivity tensors for purely harmonic fields when Voigt waves and waves of more general form exist.
