DIELECTRIC PROPERTIES OF POLYACETYLENE

open access: yesLe Journal de Physique Colloques, 1983
We present a theoretical first-principles anisotropic dielectric function for all-trans polyacetylene. This dielectric function is shown to describe the 8-9 eV dielectric response peak measured using electron energy-loss spectroscopy.
