Compact broadband dielectric resonator antennas

2010 International Conference on Electromagnetics in Advanced Applications, 2010
A method to design ultra-wideband dielectric resonator antennas is described. The volume of the antenna is further reduced by employing the standard conducting mirror wall technique. The effectiveness of the method is demonstrated using HFSS simulations.

Aperture-coupled dielectric resonator antenna

Antennas and Propagation Society Symposium 1991 Digest, 2002
A practical antenna configuration is proposed for use at microwave and millimeter-wave frequencies. It consists of a circular cylindrical dielectric resonator fed by a microstrip feedline through a coupling aperture in the ground plane between them. Experimental results for antennas operating between 13 and 16 GHz are presented.

Rod-ring dielectric resonator antenna

International Journal of RF and Microwave Computer-Aided Engineering, 2004
A dielectric resonator combining two cylindrical dielectrics of different material and height and excited by a coaxial probe is considered. The effect of the antenna parameters, such as the ratio of the height and radius of the dielectrics and the effect of the probe length, are investigated.

Directive Dielectric Resonator Antenna

2016
Relatively directive, single element, linearly polarized, dielectric resonator antenna for the ISM band applications (5.8 GHz) is presented in the paper. Its operation is based on the excitation of higher order modes inside a cylindrical dielectric resonator antenna of low relative permittivity material (εr= 6.15) fed by an aperture coupled microstrip ...

Dielectric resonator antennas and applications

IEE Seminar Integrated and Miniaturised Antenna Technologies for Asset Tracking Applications, 2000
Dielectric resonator antennas (DRAs) are usually made of dielectric resonators with ɛr ranging from 10 to 100. The resonance mode used for radiation depends on the geometry of the resonator and the required radiation patterns. The fields of the mode need not to be strongly confined within the resonator, so that it can be easily fed to produce high ...
