Efficient and Specific PDGFRβ‐Targeting Dual‐Mode T1‐T2 MRI Nanoprobe for Early Diagnosis of Non‐Alcoholic Fatty Liver

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The Fe3O4/Gd@BSA‐pPB nanoprobe leverages biomimetic mineralization and targets hepatic stellate cells (HSCs) through PDGFRβ, offering superior enrichment in fibrotic regions. This targeted delivery overcomes biological barriers, enhancing both the accuracy and sensitivity of MRI imaging at early disease stages.

Combining biomarker and self-reported dietary intake data: a review of the state of the art and an exposition of concepts [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2019
Classical approaches to assessing dietary intake are associated with measurement error. In an effort to address inherent measurement error in dietary self-reported data there is increased interest in the use of dietary biomarkers as objective measures of intake.

SENP3 Drives Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Development by Regulating Ferroptosis via De‐SUMOylation of CTH

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In this study, it is proposed that SENP3 accumulates in macrophages of aneurysmal aortic tissues, which promotes macrophage ferroptosis and inflammation via regulation of CTH de‐SUMOylation. Abstract Abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) is a high‐risk inflammatory disorder. SENP3, a SUMO2/3‐specific protease, is closely involved in the development of cancer.

Maladaptive Peripheral Ketogenesis in Schwann Cells Mediated by CB1R Contributes to Diabetic Neuropathy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates the maladaptive peripheral ketogenesis in Schwann cells following diabetes mellitus, which serves as a contributor to diabetic peripheral neuropathy. The authors further propose cannabinoid type‐1 receptor in Schwann cells as a promising therapeutic target and JD5037 as a pharmacological intervention to reprogram Schwann cell ...

Silicon Enhances Functional Mitochondrial Transfer to Improve Neurovascularization in Diabetic Bone Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
These findings reveal that silicon exerts strong protective effects in diabetic bone defect models by selectively promoting Drp1‐Mff activity. Silicon facilitates precise regulation of mitochondrial dynamics to enable functional mitochondrial transfer.

Regulation of PVT‐CeA Circuit in Deoxynivalenol‐Induced Anorexia and Aversive‐Like Emotions

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The study investigates Deoxynivalenol (DON) effects on feeding and emotions, focusing on the central amygdala (CeA). Acute DON exposure reduces food intake and alters behavior, linked to CeAGABA neuron activity and PVT‐CeA connectivity. Manipulating CeAGABA neurons and using SCN10A antagonist A‐803467 alleviate DON's effects, offering potential ...

Multi‐omics analyses reveal the interaction between colonic microbiota and host in Min and Yorkshire pigs

open access: yesAnimal Research and One Health, EarlyView., 2023
In the present study, we created the weight gain models with Min and Yorkshire pigs and conducted the metagenomics and metabolomics of colon contents and transcriptomics of colon tissue. Further, we revealed the characteristics and functions of the colonic microbiota in Min and Yorkshire pigs and analyzed their interactions with the host. Overall, this
