Enhancing the Removal of Diethylhexyl Phthalate from Secondary Effluent Using Guar Gum
Polish Journal of Environmental StudiesWith the increasing global concern about environmental issues, researchers are increasingly interested in the use of natural biopolymers to replace inorganic coagulants in order to reduce the use of inorganic coagulants.

Abstract Sexually mature mice injected (ip or sc) with doses ranging from 1 to 100 mg/kg monoethylhexyl phthalate (MEHP) or 50 to 100 mg/kg diethylhexyl phthalate failed to exhibit any significant alterations in testicular weight or zinc levels. Further, no changes in mouse seminal vesicle or anterior prostate weight and zinc levels occurred.

Leaching of diethylhexyl phthalate from multilayer tubing into etoposide infusion solutions
American Journal of Health-System Pharmacy, 2005The extent of leaching of diethylhexyl phthalate (DEHP) from various polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polyethylene (PE), coextruded (PVC and PE), and triple-layered (PVC, ethyl vinyl acetate, and PE) i.v. extension tubing into etoposide infusion solutions was studied.Different lengths of tubing (25, 50, and 80 cm) were tested in two types of experiments: (1 ...

Kinetic Migration of Diethylhexyl Phthalate in Functional PVC Films
Plasma Science and Technology, 2012Plasticizers that are generally used in plastics to produce flexible food packaging materials have proved to cause reproductive system problems and women's infertility. A long-term consumption may even cause cancer diseases. Hence a nano-scale layer, named as functional barrier layer, was deposited on the plastic surface to prevent plasticizer ...

Effects of diethylhexyl phthalate (DEHP) given neonatally on spermatogenesis of mice
Molecular Biology Reports, 2013We previously demonstrated that the effects of diethylhexyl phthalate (DEHP) alter reproduction function on male mice. Immature male mice were treated daily with DEHP from postnatal day 7-21, 7-35, 7-49, in a dose-dependent manner. As results, both the quality and quantity of spermatozoa were decreased in 60-day-old mice. The results by RT-PCR analysis

Migration of diethylhexyl phthalate from PVC bags into intravenous cyclosporine solutions
Journal of Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Analysis, 2005The migration of diethylhexyl phthalate (DEHP) from PVC bags into LVPS (0.9% NaCl) and LVPS with cyclosporine at concentrations of 2.5 and 0.5mg/ml was studied. PVC bags were placed in contact with these solutions and stored at 25+/-1 degrees C. They were taken for analysis each 30 min during 6 h and after this period at each 1 h until 12 h of contact.
