Observations on living rat spermatogenic cells in different developmental stages
Cells Tissues Organs, 1978In the seminiferous tubules of the rat, as in most mammalian species, the developing germ cells form associations with constant cell composition. These cellular associations or stages follow each other in a regular manner along the seminiferous tubules giving rise to the seminiferous epithelial wave.

Sensitivity of different generations and developmental stages in studies on reproductive toxicity
Toxicology Letters, 2014Numerous studies on reproductive toxicity are expected to be necessary under the EU program on Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH). Therefore, it is important to analyse existing testing strategies including also the recently implemented extended one-generation reproduction toxicity study (EOGRTS, OECD guideline

Expressed sequence tags from persimmon at different developmental stages
Plant Cell Reports, 2008Persimmon (Diospyros kaki Thunb.) is an important fruit in Asian countries, where it is eaten as a fresh fruit and is also used for many other purposes. To understand the molecular mechanism of fruit development and ripening in persimmon, we generated a total of 9,952 expressed sequence tags (ESTs) from randomly selected clones of two different cDNA ...

Anthraquinones in different developmental stages ofGaleruca tanaceti (Coleoptera, Chrysomelidae)
Journal of Chemical Ecology, 1991The overwintering eggs and the larvae of the leaf beetleGaleruca tanaceti (L.) contain hydroxylated anthraquinones. In both developmental stages, l,8-dihydroxy-3-methylanthraquinone (= chrysophanol) and 1,8-di-hydroxyanthraquinone (= chrysazin) were detected by GC-MS and GC-FTIR analyses. In the eggs, chrysazin was found only in traces.

Ticks and Tick-borne Diseases, 2019
Dermacentor silvarum is an important vector of tick-borne pathogens. The microbiota of ticks has been recognized to influence their development, fitness, and reproduction as well as the acquisition, establishment and transmission of pathogens.

By using radioiodination methods which are thought to label preferentially the surface followed by SDS-PAGE and autoradiography, components of different developmental stages of O. volvulus have been identified. Between 2 and 10 polypeptide antigens were revealed on infective larvae (L3), females, males, eggs, nodular and skin microfilariae by using ...

Changes in the magnitude and distribution of forces at different dictyostelium developmental stages
Cell Motility, 2008AbstractThe distribution of forces exerted by migrating Dictyostelium amebae at different developmental stages was measured using traction force microscopy. By using very soft polyacrylamide substrates with a high fluorescent bead density, we could measure stresses as small as 30 Pa.

Steroid production by Xenopus ovarian follicles at different developmental stages
Developmental Biology, 1983Xenopus ovarian follicles at different developmental stages were compared with respect to their capacity to produce and secrete steroids and to respond to gonadotropic hormones with changes in steroid production. Individual follicles were obtained by treating ovaries with collagenase and were incubated for 10 hr in incubation medium alone or in medium ...
