Differential Spectrum of Some Power Functions With Low Differential Uniformity [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2012
In this paper, for an odd prime $p$, the differential spectrum of the power function $x^{\frac{p^k+1}{2}}$ in $\mathbb{F}_{p^n}$ is calculated. For an odd prime $p$ such that $p\equiv 3\bmod 4$ and odd $n$ with $k|n$, the differential spectrum of the power function $x^{\frac{p^n+1}{p^k+1}+\frac{p^n-1}{2}}$ in $\mathbb{F}_{p^n}$ is also derived.

Differential Privacy for Functions and Functional Data

open access: yesJournal of Machine Learning Research, 2010
Differential privacy is a framework for privately releasing summaries of a database. Previous work has focused mainly on methods for which the output is a finite dimensional vector, or an element of some discrete set. We develop methods for releasing functions while preserving differential privacy.

Integration of single‐cell and bulk RNA‐sequencing data reveals the prognostic potential of epithelial gene markers for prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Prostate cancer is a leading malignancy with significant clinical heterogeneity in men. An 11‐gene signature derived from dysregulated epithelial cell markers effectively predicted biochemical recurrence‐free survival in patients who underwent radical surgery or radiotherapy.

Primary extranodal diffuse large B‐cell lymphoma: Molecular features, treatment, and prognosis

open access: yesAging and Cancer, Volume 3, Issue 3-4, Page 133-146, September-December 2022., 2022
One‐third of DLBCL arises from extranodal organs and is challenging to manage. Molecular features are critical to elucidate the differences in clinical features, predict the disease prognosis, and improve effective targeted therapeutic strategies. Abstract Diffuse large B‐cell lymphoma (DLBCL) is the most common subtype of non‐Hodgkin's lymphoma and ...

INFORMATIONAL ENTROPY IN SIMULATION OF ONE-DIMENSIONAL RANDOM FIELDS

open access: yesTASK Quarterly, 2002
The entropy H of a continuous distribution with probability density function f(•) is defined as a function of the number of nodes (n) in a one-dimensional scalar random field.

Differential function spectra, the differential Becker-Gottlieb transfer, and applications to differential algebraic K-theory [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2013
We develop differential algebraic K-theory for rings of integers in number fields and we construct a cycle map from geometrized bundles of modules over such a ring to the differential algebraic K-theory. We also treat some of the foundational aspects of differential cohomology, including differential function spectra and the differential Becker ...

Higher Weak Derivatives and Reflexive Algebras of Operators

open access: yes, 2015
Let D be a self-adjoint operator on a Hilbert space H and x a bounded operator on H. We say that x is n-times weakly D-differentiable, if for any pair of vectors a, b from H the function is n-times differentiable.

Clinical significance of stratifying prostate cancer patients through specific circulating genes

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We tested a specific panel of genes representative of luminal, neuroendocrine and stem‐like cells in the blood of prostate cancer patients, showing predictive value from diagnosis to late stages of disease. This approach allows monitoring of treatment responses and outcomes at specific time points in trajectories.

Comments on Lagrange Partial Differential Equation [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 1999
The relations between solutions of the three types of totally linear partial differential equations of first order are presented. The approach is based on factorization of a non-homogeneous first order differential operator to products consisting of a scalar function, a homogeneous first order differential operator and the reciprocal of the scalar ...

MET variants with activating N‐lobe mutations identified in hereditary papillary renal cell carcinomas still require ligand stimulation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
MET variants in the N‐lobe of the kinase domain, found in hereditary papillary renal cell carcinoma, require ligand stimulation to promote cell transformation, in contrast to other RTK variants. This suggests that HGF expression in the microenvironment is important for tumor growth in such patients. Their sensitivity to MET inhibitors opens the way for
