A Continuous, Nowhere-Differentiable Function with a Dense Set of Proper Local Extrema [PDF]
In this paper, we use the following scheme to construct a continuous, nowhere-differentiable function which is the uniform limit of a sequence of sawtooth functions ₙ : [0, 1] → [0, 1] with increasingly sharp teeth.

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

In this paper, first, we prove a novel integral identity involving a single time-differentiable function. Then, we prove some new inequalities associated with one of the open Newton-Cotes formulas for differentiable convex functions.

Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

How to compute tight enclosures for the range of a multi-dimensional differentiable function
This paper presents an algorithm to compute tight enclosures for the range of a differentiable function f restricted to an interval vector. The algorithm combines two different approaches: a gradient-based method, and an optimization method. First,

Hijacking emergency granulopoiesis: Neutrophil ontogeny and reprogramming in cancer
Neutrophils are highly plastic innate immune cells; their functions in cancer extend beyond the tumour microenvironment. This Review summarises current understanding of neutrophil maturation and heterogeneity and highlights tumour‐induced granulopoiesis as a systemic programme that expands immature, immunosuppressive neutrophils via tumour‐derived ...

A Typical Nowhere Differentiable Function
We construct an explicit continuous functionFsuch that for each point x, every extended real number is a derived number ofFat x andFhas an infinite left and an infinite right derived number at x.

On the Taylor Differentiability in Spaces Lp, 0 < p ≤ ∞
The function \(f\in L_p[I], \;p>0,\) is called \((k,p)\)-differentiable at a point \(x_0\in I\) if there exists an algebraic polynomial of \(\pi\) of degree no more than \(k\) for which holds \( \Vert f-\pi \Vert_{L_p[J_h]} = o(h^{k+\frac{1}{p ...
