Clinical performance of the urine‐based TERT promoter AbsoluteQ Digital PCR for non‐invasive detection of bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A urine‐based digital PCR assay targeting two hotspot TERT promoter variants detected bladder cancer with high sensitivity and no false positives in this case–control cohort. The streamlined AbsoluteQ workflow outperformed Sanger sequencing and supports non‐invasive molecular testing for bladder cancer detection.

Some Formulas for Legendre Functions Induced by the Poisson Transform

open access: yesActa Polytechnica, 2011
Using the Poisson transform, which maps any homogeneous and infinitely differentiable function on a cone into a corresponding function on a hyperboloid, we derive some integral representations of the Legendre functions.

A review of differentiable digital signal processing for music and speech synthesis

open access: yesFrontiers in Signal Processing
The term “differentiable digital signal processing” describes a family of techniques in which loss function gradients are backpropagated through digital signal processors, facilitating their integration into neural networks.

Developmental programmes drive cellular plasticity, disease progression and therapy resistance in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

Bounding the Čebyšev function for a differentiable function whose derivative is h or λ-convex in absolute value and applications

open access: yes, 2016
Some bounds for the Čebyšev functional of a differentiable function whose derivative is h or λ-convex in absolute value and applications for functions of selfadjoint operators in Hilbert spaces via the spectral representation theorem are ...

On differential controllability and observability functions

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Control
Differential balancing theory for nonlinear model reduction relies on differential controllability and observability functions. In this paper, we further investigate them from two different perspectives. First, we establish novel connections between these differential energy functions and their incremental counterparts by assuming the existence of the ...

Flow Enabled Target Capture Halbach‐based magnetic enrichment increases circulating tumor cell capture from blood in metastatic cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pair‐wise comparison of the CellSearch and FETCH enrichment technologies for circulating tumor cells (CTCs) from metastatic breast, prostate, and small cell lung cancer patients shows an increased capture of CTCs using FETCH enrichment. The clinical implementation of circulating tumor cells (CTCs) as a predictive tool for therapy efficacy in the ...

INFORMATIONAL ENTROPY IN SIMULATION OF ONE-DIMENSIONAL RANDOM FIELDS

open access: yesTASK Quarterly, 2002
The entropy H of a continuous distribution with probability density function f(•) is defined as a function of the number of nodes (n) in a one-dimensional scalar random field.

Differentiable Functions Equivalent to Analytic Functions

open access: yesPublications of the Research Institute for Mathematical Sciences, 1973
1. Let jf, g be real-valued functions of class C in R. Functions /, g are called equivalent if there exists a diffeomorphism (of class C°°) r of R such that f°t=g. The main object of this paper is to show under what conditions a function is equivalent to an analytic function (Theorem i). In the case of polynomials, the corresponding result is proved in

Finding novel vulnerabilities of hypomorphic BRCA1 alleles

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Synthetic lethality screens performed to identify novel vulnerabilities often model complete gene loss, thereby overlooking patient‐derived hypomorphic mutations. In this study, we have performed genome‐wide CRISPR screens on BRCA1 hypomorphic mutations, showing BRCA1I26A behaves like wild‐type, while BRCA1R1699Q mimics deficiency. Furthermore, we have
