Differential-Operator Approximations to the Linear Boltzmann Equation [PDF]
A measure of deviation from equilibrium of an ensemble of particles is proposed, which is physically appropriate and of especially simple form when expressed in terms of the expansion coefficients of the ensemble distribution function with respect to the system of orthogonal polynomials obtained by using the equilibrium distribution function as weight ...

Fractional Evolution Equations Governed by Coercive Differential Operators [PDF]
This paper is concerned with evolution equations of fractional order Dαu(t) = Au(t); u(0) = u0, u′(0) = 0, where A is a differential operator corresponding to a coercive polynomial taking values in a sector of angle less than π and 1 < α < 2. We show that such equations are well posed in the sense that there always exists an α‐times resolvent ...

In this paper we study a class of sum operator equation Ax+Bx+C(x,x)=x$Ax+Bx+C(x,x)=x$ on ordered Banach spaces, where A is an increasing operator, B is a decreasing operator, and C is a mixed monotone operator.

In this article, we first investigate the linear difference operator ( A x ) ( t ) : = x ( t ) − ∑ i = 1 n c i ( t ) x ( t − δ i ( t ) ) $(Ax)(t):=x(t)-\sum_{i=1}^{n}c_{i}(t)x(t- \delta _{i}(t))$ in a continuous periodic function space.

PSEUDO-DIFFERENTIAL OPERATORS AND EQUATIONS IN A DISCRETE HALF-SPACE
We introduce a digital pseudo-differential operator acting in discrete Sobolev--Slobodetskii spaces and consider pseudo-differential equations with such operators in a discrete half-space. The theorem on a general solution of such equations is proved for a special case.

Integro-differential equations in Banach spaces and analytic resolving families of operators
We study a class of equations in Banach spaces with a Riemann–Liouville-type integro-differential operator with an operator-valued convolution kernel. The properties of \(k\)-resolving operators of such equations are studied and the class \(\mathcal A_ ...

Stochastic Lévy differential operators and Yang–Mills equations [PDF]
The relationship between the Yang–Mills equations and the stochastic analogue of Lévy differential operators is studied. The value of the stochastic Lévy–Laplacian is found by means of Cèsaro averaging of directional derivatives on the stochastic parallel transport.
