RIPK4 function interferes with melanoma cell adhesion and metastasis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
RIPK4 promotes melanoma growth and spread. RIPK4 levels increase as skin lesions progress to melanoma. CRISPR/Cas9‐mediated deletion of RIPK4 causes melanoma cells to form less compact spheroids, reduces their migratory and invasive abilities and limits tumour growth and dissemination in mouse models.

INTEGRO-DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS EMBODYING POWERS OF A DIFFERENTIAL OPERATOR

open access: yesVestnik of Samara University. Natural Science Series, 2019
We establish solvability and correctness criteria for two Fredholm type linear integro-differential operators B2, B4 encompassing up to second and fourth powers, respectively, of a differential operator A with aknown inverse I = A 1. We also derive explicit solution formulae to corresponding initial and boundary value problems by using the inverse of the

Differential Operators on Conic Manifolds: Maximal Regularity and Parabolic Equations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
We study an elliptic differential operator A on a manifold with conic points. Assuming A to be defined on the smooth functions supported away from the singularities, we first address the question of possible closed extensions of A to L^p Sobolev spaces and then explain how additional ellipticity conditions ensure maximal regularity for the operator A ...

ATP13A2 is involved in intracellular polyamine transport in lung epithelial cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Spermidine transport in lung epithelial cells involves the polyamine transporter ATP13A2. Cell proliferation is associated with the upregulation of ATP13A2. Polyamines are present in all living cells and are implicated in various crucial cellular processes such as proliferation, apoptosis and autophagy.

Nuclear pore links Fob1‐dependent rDNA damage relocation to lifespan control

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Damaged rDNA accumulates at a specific perinuclear interface that couples nucleolar escape with nuclear envelope association. Nuclear pores at this site help inhibit Fob1‐induced rDNA instability. This spatial organization of damage handling supports a functional link between nuclear architecture, rDNA stability, and replicative lifespan in yeast.

On discrete pseudo-differential operators and equations

open access: yesFilomat, 2018
We introduce discrete pseudo-differential operators in appropriate discrete Sobolev-Slobodetskii spaces. Using discrete Fourier transform and factorization concept we study invertibility of such operators in some discrete spaces. Some examples for discrete Calderon-Zygmund operators and difference operators are considered.

Dihydroorotate dehydrogenase (DHODH) regulates trophoblast syncytialization through organelle stress–induced cellular senescence

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The inhibition of mitochondrial dihydroorotate dehydrogenase (DHODH) impairs syncytialization and induces cellular senescence via mitochondrial and endoplasmic reticulum stress in human trophoblast stem cells, elevating sFlt1/PlGF levels, a hallmark of placental dysfunction in hypertensive disorders of pregnancy.

On the Correct Solvability of the Boundary-Value Problem for One Class Operator-Differential Equations of the Fourth Order with Complex Characteristics

open access: yesBoundary Value Problems, 2009
Sufficient coefficient conditions for the correct and unique solvability of the boundary-value problem for one class of operator-differential equations of the fourth order with complex characteristics, which cover the equations arising in solving the ...

Chameleon sequences reveal structural effects in proteins representing micelle‐like distribution of hydrophobicity

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Amino acids sequence of two different proteins with the same sequence (chameleon sequence—black boxes) represent in 3D structure of the proteins different secondary structures: HHHH—helical and BBB—Beta‐structural. The chains folded in water environment adopt different III‐order structures in which the chameleon fragments appear to adopt similar status

Analysing the significance of small conformational changes and low occupancy states in serial crystallographic data

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.
