Subcellular Fractionation by Differential and Zonal Centrifugation of the Trypanosomatid Crithidia fasciculata [PDF]

open access: bronzeJournal of General Microbiology, 1977
Homogenates of Crithidia fasciculata were fractionated by differential centrifugation. Mitochondria were sedimented quantitatively at 10(4) g-min and accounted for approximately 10% of the total recovered protein. Catalase was found exclusively in the supernatant fraction whilst NADH:cytochrome c oxidoreductase and p-nitrophenylphosphatase were found ...

Differential Neutralization of Spontaneous and Centrifuge-assisted Chlamydial Infectivity [PDF]

open access: bronzeJournal of General Microbiology, 1979
Neutralization by specific antibody of a fast-killing variant strain of Chlamydia trachomatis, which showed high spontaneous infectivity for cell monolayers, was examined. It appeared that in spontaneous infection antibody-treated chlamydiae were neutralized by inhibition of attachment to cells.

THE PREPARATION AND PROPERTIES OF INFLUENZA VIRUS VACCINES CONCENTRATED AND PURIFIED BY DIFFERENTIAL CENTRIFUGATION [PDF]

open access: bronzeJournal of Experimental Medicine, 1945
Influenza virus vaccines containing from 1 to 10 mg. of virus materials per cc. concentrated and purified from infectious allantoic fluids by means of one or two cycles of differential centrifugation and inactivated by different treatments have been ...

LC-MS/MS analysis of differential centrifugation fractions from native inner medullary collecting duct of rat.

open access: greenAJP - Renal Physiology, 2008
We carried out LC-MS/MS-based proteomic profiling of differential centrifugation fractions from rat inner medullary collecting duct (IMCD): 1) to provide baseline knowledge of the IMCD proteome and 2) to evaluate the utility of differential ...

Feed Processing. VIII. Estimating Microbial Protein in Rumen Fluid with Presipitating Agents or in Incubated Mixtures of Uncooked Grain Plus Urea or Starea with Differential Centrifugation

open access: bronze, 1975
Four protein precipitating agents (trichloroacetic, perchloric, picric, and tungstic acids) were compared for their ability to estimate the quantity of microbial protein in rumen fluid.
