DIF: A Computer Program for the Analysis of Differential Item Performance

Educational and Psychological Measurement, 1991
A FORTRAN 77 program is presented which performs analyses of differential item performance in psychometric tests. The program performs the Mantel-Haenszel procedure and computes various additional classical indices of differential item functioning (including discrimination indices) as well as associated effect size measures.

[Computer-aided differential thermal analysis of drugs].

Die Pharmazie, 1990
An open-loop on-line computer connection to a DTA apparatus of high time constant and the developed software for data acquisition and utilization are described. The new system was calibrated thermomentrically and calorically. The main aim is a enhanced purity estimation, especially by using of the modified Van't Hoff equation based on DTA curves, which

Sensitivity Analysis and Computation for Partial Differential Equations

2008
Abstract : The development of practical numerical methods for simulation of partial differential equations leads to problems of convergence, accuracy and efficiency. Verification of a computational algorithm consists in part of establishing a convergence theory for the discretized equations.

Computer-aided pattern analysis of temperature differentials.

Journal of manipulative and physiological therapeutics, 1990
Chiropractic analysis often incorporates the evaluation of heat distribution patterns observed in skin temperature profiles. Historically, temperature recordings of the spine have been made with a heat detection instrument using a thermocouple design. The advent of refinements in infrared technology, however, have greatly enhanced temperature detection

Computation and visualisation of the accuracy of old maps using differential distortion analysis

International Journal of Geographical Information Science, 2016
The accuracy of old maps can hold interesting historical information, and is therefore studied using distortion analysis methods. These methods start from a set of ground control points that are identified both on the old map and on a modern reference map or globe, and conclude with techniques that compute and visualise distortion. Such techniques have

Computation, Continuation and Bifurcation Analysis of Periodic Solutions of Delay Differential Equations

International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos, 1997
We present a new numerical method for the efficient computation of periodic solutions of nonlinear systems of Delay Differential Equations (DDEs) with several discrete delays. This method exploits the typical spectral properties of the monodromy matrix of a DDE and allows effective computation of the dominant Floquet multipliers to determine the ...

Numerical Analysis and Computational Solution of Integro-Differential Equations

2018
The aim of this paper is to describe the current state of the numerical analysis and the computational solution of non-standard integro-differential equations of Volterra and Fredholm types that arise in various applications. In order to do so, we first give a brief review of recent results concerning the numerical analysis of standard (ordinary and ...
