Geographic variation in walking activity in the red flour beetle Tribolium castaneum

open access: yesPopulation Ecology, EarlyView.
This study examined whether there is geographic variation in field populations, focusing on the moving activity in the red flour beetle Tribolium castaneum. Results showed significant differences in moving activity among field populations but no correlation with latitude or meteorological factors.

Differential Distribution of Three Members of a Gene Family Encoding Low Voltage-Activated (T-Type) Calcium Channels

open access: yesJournal of Neuroscience, 1999
Low voltage-activated (T-type) calcium currents are observed in many central and peripheral neurons and display distinct physiological and functional properties.

Stochastic ranking process with space-time dependent intensities [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
We consider the stochastic ranking process with space-time dependent jump rates for the particles. The process is a simplified model of the time evolution of the rankings such as sales ranks at online bookstores.

A System of Differential Equations for the Airy Process

open access: yes, 2003
The Airy process is characterized by its finite-dimensional distribution functions. We show that each finite-dimensional distribution function is expressible in terms of a solution to a system of differential equations.Comment: 8 pages, no figures ...

Dendritic cells steering antigen and leukocyte traffic in lymph nodes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Dendritic cells are key players in the activation of T cells and their commitment to effector function. In this In a Nutshell Review, we will discuss how dendritic cells guide the trafficking of antigen and leukocytes in the lymph node, thus influencing T‐cell activation processes. Dendritic cells (DCs) play a central role in initiating and shaping the

Zero-sequence compensation method of line longitudinal current differential protection based on 5G distribution network

open access: yesDiance yu yibiao
Aiming at the problem that the longitudinal current fault of distribution network lines affects the normal power supply, a zero-sequence compensation method of line longitudinal current differential protection based on 5G distribution network is proposed

Magnetized stars with differential rotation and a differential toroidal field

open access: yes, 2015
We have succeeded in obtaining magnetized equilibrium states with differential rotation and differential toroidal magnetic fields. If an internal toroidal field of a proto-neutron star is wound up from the initial poloidal magnetic field by differential ...

On the value distribution of differential polynomials

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, 1991
AbstractIn this paper, we deal with the value distribution of differential polynomials and obtain some results that are improvements of that of W. Doeringer, W. K. Hayman, C. C. Yang, X. Z. Xiao, A. P. Singh, and G. P. Barker. Examples are provided to show that our results are sharp.

ON THE VALUE DISTRIBUTION OF DIFFERENTIAL POLYNOMIALS [PDF]

open access: yesBulletin of the Korean Mathematical Society, 2008
In this paper we consider the problem of whether certain homogeneous or non-homogeneous differential polynomials in f(z) necessarily have infinitely many zeros. Particularly, this extends a result of Gopalakrishna and Bhoosnurmath [3, Theorem 2] for a general differential polynomial of degree d (P ) and lower degree d (P ).

FoxO1 signaling in B cell malignancies and its therapeutic targeting

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
FoxO1 has context‐specific tumor suppressor or oncogenic character in myeloid and B cell malignancies. This includes tumor‐promoting properties such as stemness maintenance and DNA damage tolerance in acute leukemias, or regulation of cell proliferation and survival, or migration in mature B cell malignancies.
