Strong solutions for differential equations in abstract spaces

open access: yesJournal of Differential Equations, 2005
The author considers in a sequentially complete locally convex space \((E,{\mathcal F})\) the initial value problem \[ u_t(t)= f(t, u(t)),\quad u(t_0)= u_0. \] The bounded elements of \(E\) are denoted by \[ E_b:= \Biggl\{x\in E:\| x\|_{{\mathcal F}}= \sup_{\rho\in{\mathcal F}}\,\rho(x)< \infty\Biggr\}.

Complete Abstract Differential Equations of Elliptic Type in UMD Spaces

open access: yesFunkcialaj Ekvacioj, 2006
In this paper we give new results on complete abstract second order differential equations of elliptic type in UMD Banach spaces. Existence, uniqueness and maximal regularity of the strict solution are proved using the celebrated Dore-Venni Theorem. This work completes the ones studied in the framework of Holder spaces, see [7] and [8].

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Improved Sobolev embeddings, profile decomposition, and concentration-compactness for fractional Sobolev spaces

open access: yes, 2013
We obtain an improved Sobolev inequality in H^s spaces involving Morrey norms. This refinement yields a direct proof of the existence of optimizers and the compactness up to symmetry of optimizing sequences for the usual Sobolev embedding. More generally,

Transcriptional network analysis of PTEN‐protein‐deficient prostate tumors reveals robust stromal reprogramming and signs of senescent paracrine communication

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

A Class of Fractional Degenerate Evolution Equations with Delay

open access: yesMathematics, 2020
We establish a class of degenerate fractional differential equations involving delay arguments in Banach spaces. The system endowed by a given background and the generalized Showalter–Sidorov conditions which are natural for degenerate type equations. We

Recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming and confer resistance to targeted therapies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We show that the majority of the 18 analyzed recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming. The most potent mutations are activating, co‐operate with other ERBB receptors, and are sensitive to pan‐ERBB inhibitors. Activating ERBB4 mutations also promote therapy resistance in EGFR‐mutant lung cancer.

Existence of solutions to a second order partial differential equation with nonlocal conditions

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2003
Using the cosine function theory, we prove the existence of mild and classical solutions for an abstract second-order Cauchy problem with nonlocal conditions.

A priori bounds of the solution of a one point IBVP for a singular fractional evolution equation

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2020
A priori bounds constitute a crucial and powerful tool in the investigation of initial boundary value problems for linear and nonlinear fractional and integer order differential equations in bounded domains.

Dynamics of weighted composition operators on function spaces defined by local properties

open access: yes, 2019
We study topological transitivity/hypercyclicity and topological (weak) mixing for weighted composition operators on locally convex spaces of scalar-valued functions which are defined by local properties.
