Neighbor-Induction and Population-Dispersion in Differential Evolution Algorithm
The differential evolution (DE) optimization algorithm predominantly relies on elite individuals and random difference to direct evolution. Although the strategy is clear and easy to implement, identifying a suitable direction for the DE mutation ...

Single‐cell multi‐omics reveals epigenetic heterogeneity across therapy‐adaptive tumor states, including quiescent/dormant, drug‐tolerant persister, and EMT‐like phenotypes. By linking regulatory features with state‐associated biomarkers, these approaches inform biomarker‐guided therapeutic strategies for evolving tumors.

Breast cancer remains a major cause of cancer death in women, frequently developing endocrine therapy resistance. This study demonstrates that upregulated p21‐activated kinase 1 (PAK1) activity drives resistance to tamoxifen and long‐term estrogen deprivation in ER+ breast cancer models.

BCL9 and BCL9L drive bladder cancer progression by enhancing β‐catenin signaling, promoting proliferation, migration, invasion, and organoid growth. Genetic depletion of BCL9(L) suppresses malignant phenotypes, while pharmacological disruption of the β‐catenin/BCL9(L) complex with ZW4864 inhibits canonical Wnt signaling and tumor‐associated cellular ...

A mutation adaptation mechanism for Differential Evolution algorithm
A new adaptive Differential Evolution algorithm called EWMA-DE is proposed. In original Differential Evolution algorithm three different control parameter values must be pre-specified by the user a priori; Population size, crossover constant and mutation scale factor.

A differential evolution algorithm for the median cycle problem
This paper extends the applications of differential evolution algorithms to the Median Cycle Problem. The median cycle problem is concerned with constructing a simple cycle composed of a subset of vertices of a mixed graph. The objective is to minimize the cost of the cycle and the cost of assigning vertices not on the cycle to the nearest vertex on ...

Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐

In this study, we developed a deep learning method for mitotic figure counting in H&E‐stained whole‐slide images and evaluated its prognostic impact in 13 external validation cohorts from seven different cancer types. Patients with more mitotic figures per mm2 had significantly worse patient outcome in all the studied cancer types except colorectal ...
