Differential Fault Analysis for Block Ciphers
Proceedings of the 7th International Conference on Security of Information and Networks, 2014Differential Fault Analysis (DFA) exploits the differences between a correct and a faulty output of a cipher implementation to derive the secret parameters. All the current DFA techniques are tailored to the cipher being attacked and do not provide a general framework.

Differential Fault Analysis of HC-128
2010HC-128 is a high speed stream cipher with a 128-bit secret key and a 128-bit initialization vector. It has passed all the three stages of the ECRYPT stream cipher project and is a member of the eSTREAM software portfolio. In this paper, we present a differential fault analysis attack on HC-128.

2011 9th IEEE International Conference on ASIC, 2011In this paper, a novel Differential fault analysis on AES-128 is proposed to find the initial key. First, by inducing four bytes random faults into the ninth round key stored in static RAM, the relationship between faults in the last two round keys can be revealed.

Differential Fault Analysis on PRESENT Key Schedule

Bogdanov et al. in 2007 for extremely constrained environments such as RFID tags and sensor networks, where the AES is not suitable for. An Improved Differential Fault Analysis on AES-256
2011In this paper we present an improved differential fault attack on the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) with 256-bit key. We show an improved attack which retrieves the AES-256 key using two pairs of fault free and faulty ciphertexts and a brute-force search of 216 with a time complexity 232.
