Astronomical Applications of Differential Interferometry
Science, 1972Intercomparison of radio signals received simultaneously at several sites from several sources with small mutual angular separation provides a powerful astrometric tool. Applications include tracking the Lunar Rover relative to the Lunar Module, determining the moon's libration, measuring winds in Venus's lower atmosphere, mapping Mars radiometrically,

Differential spectral interferometry
Biomedical Topical Meeting, 2004Differential spectral interferometry is a straightforward modification of spectral interferometry that allows an AC data acquisition mode and results in substantial improvement of the imaging dynamic range. Applications to biological imaging will be presented.

Approximation Eerror in Differential SAR Interferometry
IGARSS 2008 - 2008 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium, 2008Two approximations are used in "Three-pass" D-InSAR (Differential SAR Interferometry). First, in this paper, the error caused by the approximations is deduced and defined as First-order Approximation Error. Then, the characteristics of First-order Approximation Error are discussed in theory and proved by two experiments.

Ultrasonic wave measurement by differential interferometry
Applied Optics, 1977The theory and performance of a two beam differential interferometer for measurement of both surface and bulk waves are described. The system is insensitive to small errors (

Three-color differential interferometry
Applied Optics, 1997It is shown that differential interferometry using a Wollaston prism and a three-color laser source is an optical technique that has all the advantages of differential interferometry in polarized white light and of classical monochromatic interferometry.

Airborne differential interferometry: X-band experiments
IEEE International IEEE International IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium, 2004. IGARSS '04. Proceedings. 2004, 2004In this work we present the results of an airborne differential interferometry experiment carried out by using the ORBISAR X-band system. Use of a high track measurement accuracy allowed us to fulfill the requirements of Fornaro et al. (2003), where repeat pass phase accuracy has been quantified in terms of position measurement errors.

On the requirements of SAR processing for airborne differential interferometry
Proceedings. 2005 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium, 2005. IGARSS '05., 2005Airborne Differential SAR Interferometry (DInSAR) is still a challenging task when compared to the spaceborne case due to the fact that airborne platforms are unable to describe a stable flight track. For that reason a very precise motion compensation which includes the correction of topographic-induced phase errors has to be performed in the ...

Differential interferometry with a complex contrast
Optics Communications, 2002Abstract We present a new design of the Nomarski interferometer, which can measure displacements of several microns, with a resolution better than 10 −13 m / Hz . In the standard design this sensitivity can be achieved only within a 100 nm displacement range.
