Differential Speckle Interferometry
Optica Acta: International Journal of Optics, 1982This paper describes an experiment in narrow spectral band speckle interferometry, which uses variations in the spectrum across the astronomical object under study, to obtain information of the object on the millisecond of arc scale. We plan to apply this experiment to the study of spectroscopic double stars, stellar rotation, spectroscopic and ...

Differential low-coherence interferometry
SPIE Proceedings, 2003New low coherence interferometric technique for remote comparison of two optical path differences utilizing common path geometry is proposed and demonstrated. The differential profiling of transparent structures by new technique is considered and demonstrated experimentally.

Imaging focused laser differential interferometry
Optics LettersFocused laser differential interferometry (FLDI) is an important diagnostic for measuring density fluctuations in high-speed flows. Currently, however, high dynamic range FLDI is limited to photodiode measurements. In order to spatially resolve multiple locations within complex flows, we present a novel, to the best of our knowledge, refractive-optic ...

Differential SAR interferometry using corner reflectors
IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium, 2003The differential InSAR technique has the potential for monitoring centimetre-scale ground motion in an accurate and cost-effective manner. Probably the most important limiting factor in the application of InSAR is temporal change in the complex reflectivity of the ground surface during the period between radar acquisitions.

Research on differential interferometry for spaceborne bistatic SAR
2007 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium, 2007Differential interferometry (D-InSAR) for spaceborne bistatic SAR is studied. According to advantages of the system, particularities and superiorities of D-InSAR based on spaceborne bistatic SAR are discussed first. Then, solid baseline is decomposed and the model of "three-pass" D-InSAR is established.

Focused Laser Differential Interferometry
2021The focused laser differential interferometer (FLDI) is a non-imaging optical diagnostic that is sensitive to density disturbances. A distinguishing feature is reduced sensitivity away from the focal plane of its beams. The spatial resolution is sub-mm, and the temporal resolution is restricted only by photodetector bandwidth, typically >10 MHz ...

Tropospheric heterogeneities corrections in differential radar interferometry
IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium, 2003Differential radar interferometry (DInSAR) has been used more and more widely to monitor crustal deformations due to underground mining and oil extraction, earthquakes, volcanoes, landslides, and so on. However, tropospheric heterogeneities have been identified as one of the major errors in DInSAR, which can be up to 40 cm as derived from dual ...

Double-pulsed time differential holographic interferometry
Applied Optics, 1977A unique method for double-pulsed holographic interferometry has been developed and employed in a meter-long theta-pinch experiment. Q-switching of two orthogonally polarized ruby laser beams, using the same lasing medium but different laser cavities, allows pulse separations of 0.2-100 microsec.

Differential tomography: a new framework for SAR interferometry
IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing, 2004A new interferometric mode crossing the differential synthetic aperture radar (SAR) interferometry and multibaseline SAR tomography concepts, that can be termed differential SAR tomography, is proposed. Its potentials, coming from the joint elevation-velocity resolution capability of multiple scatterers, are discussed.

Differential adaptive optics for astronomical interferometry
Applied Optics, 1991Sometimes it suffices to make the wave-front distortions across individual telescopes equal rather than zero. This leads to the concept of differential adaptive optics.
