Investigation of Equating Error in Tests with Differential Item Functioning

open access: yesInternational Journal of Assessment Tools in Education, 2017
In this study purposes to indicate the effect of the number of DIF items and the distribution of DIF items in these forms, which be equalized on equating error.

Time after time – circadian clocks through the lens of oscillator theory

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Oscillator theory bridges physics and circadian biology. Damped oscillators require external drivers, while limit cycles emerge from delayed feedback and nonlinearities. Coupling enables tissue‐level coherence, and entrainment aligns internal clocks with environmental cues.

In situ molecular organization and heterogeneity of the Legionella Dot/Icm T4SS

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We present a nearly complete in situ model of the Legionella Dot/Icm type IV secretion system, revealing its central secretion channel and identifying new components. Using cryo‐electron tomography with AI‐based modeling, our work highlights the structure, variability, and mechanism of this complex nanomachine, advancing understanding of bacterial ...

Structural instability impairs function of the UDP‐xylose synthase 1 Ile181Asn variant associated with short‐stature genetic syndrome in humans

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

Are International Comparisons of Subjective Health Status Relevant? An Assessment Using Anchoring Vignettes, [PDF]

open access: yes
When, in a survey question, response items are used in different ways by respondents, the answers are said to be affected by an item bias or by a DIF (Differential Item Functioning) effect.

MENGEMBANGKAN METODE PENDETEKSIAN KEBERFUNGSIAN BUTIR PEMBEDA (DIFFERENTIAL ITEM FUNCTIONING, DIF) BERDASARKAN TEORI RESPONS BUTIR MULTIDIMENSI [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
