Non-Stationary Gas Sensors Based on WSe2 or MoS2 Calibrated upon NH3 Exposure

open access: yesProceedings
We report on the calibration of gas sensors based on two transition metal dichalcogenides, molybdenum disulfide or tungsten diselenide, grown by the thermally assisted conversion of patterned Mo or W.

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

Modulation of Homer1 EVH1 domain internal dynamics by putative autism‐associated mutations

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The putative autism‐associated M65I and S97L variants of the EVH1 domain of the postsynaptic scaffold protein Homer1 do not exhibit substantial changes in their overall structure or partner binding. Both of them, but especially the M65I variant, show altered internal dynamics relative to the wild‐type domain on the μs‐ms timescale, indicated by the ...

Differential Wide Temperature Range CMOS Interface Circuit for Capacitive MEMS Pressure Sensors

open access: yes, 2015
We describe a Complementary Metal-Oxide Semiconductor (CMOS) differential interface circuit for capacitive Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS) pressure sensors that is functional over a wide temperature range between −55 °C and 225 °C. The circuit is

DAGANFuse: Infrared and Visible Image Fusion Based on Differential Features Attention Generative Adversarial Networks

open access: yesApplied Sciences
The purpose of multi-modal visual information fusion is to integrate the data of multi-sensors to generate an image with higher quality, more information, and greater clarity so that it contains more complementary information and fewer redundant features.

The ubiquitin‐proteasome system and autophagy as guardians of the cellular proteome

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This Perspective covers the three principles governing the crosstalk between the ubiquitin‐proteasome system and autophagy in cellular proteostasis: (1) a shared ubiquitin code routing substrates via shuttle factors or autophagy receptors; (2) spatial compartmentalization into phase‐separated degradation hubs and organelle‐specific modules (exemplified

FBG-based fibre-optic current sensors for power systems protection : laboratory evaluation

open access: yes, 2009
Conventional differential current unit protection schemes rely on a pair of electronic protection relays that measure current phasors separately at the boundaries of the protected zone.

MODELING AND ANALYSIS OF CAPACITIVE PRESSURE SENSORS TO ENSURE TIME AND PARAMETER STABILITY OF THEIR ELECTROPHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS

open access: yesНадежность и качество сложных систем
Background. It is noted that the creation of stable capacitive pressure sensors is a very relevant problem for their use in various industries and technologies. This is especially important for such strategic industries as military equipment, control and

An unexpected alternative viologen electron mediator site in tungsten‐containing formate dehydrogenase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
An unexpected alternative interaction site for ethyl viologen was identified in formate dehydrogenase 1 from Methylorubrum extorquens. Combined mutagenesis, kinetic analysis, and docking revealed that aromatic residues near an iron–sulfur cluster enable flavin mononucleotide‐independent electron transfer, offering a framework for engineering improved ...

CMOS compatible capacitive differential pressure sensors

open access: yes, 2022
S.65-70In the early phase of MEMS development piezoresistive pressure transducers were dominating due to their simple fabrication technology. However, recently there is a trend to surface micromachined capacitive absolute pressure sensors.
