Supervisor Actions for Supporting Employees Through Stressful Work Situations: A Critical Events Approach From the Perspective of Supervisors

open access: yesHuman Resource Management, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In this research, we aim to further our understanding of supervisors' enactment of psychosocial risk management and their own psychological responses to supporting employees through stressful work situations. Informed by event system theorizing and the special case of affective events, we examined 342 employee critical events of a stressful ...

Facilitating Mental Health Disclosure and Better Work Outcomes: The Role of Organizational Support for Disclosing Mental Health Concerns

open access: yesHuman Resource Management, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Mental health concerns among employees are increasingly prevalent, yet many employees remain under‐supported. Disclosure is a critical step in accessing organizational support for mental health. Drawing on social information processing theory, we introduce the concept of organizational support for disclosing mental health concerns and develop ...

The concept of fractional differential subordination

open access: yesTamkang Journal of Mathematics, 2013
In this work, we consider a definition for the concept of fractional differential subordination in sense of Srivastava-Owa fractional operators. By employing some types of admissible functions, involving differential operator of fractional order, we illustrate geometric properties such as starlikeness and convexity for a class of analytic functions in ...

Banking market consolidation in Asia: Evidence from acquirers, targets, and rivals

open access: yesInternational Journal of Finance &Economics, EarlyView.
Abstract We analyse the financial sector consolidation in Asia by using a comprehensive sample of bank M&As from 1995 to 2021. Our results show that M&A announcements by Asian domestic acquirers are associated with significant positive stock price returns to both acquirers and their rivals.

Sharp inequalities for q-starlike functions associated with differential subordination and q-calculus

open access: yesAIMS Mathematics
This paper employs differential subordination and quantum calculus to investigate a new class of $ q $-starlike functions associated with an eight-like image domain.

A new differential subordination technique for a subclass of starlike functions [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
In the present investigation, we employ a new technique to find several first and second order differential subordination implications involving the following starlike class associated with a bean shaped domain: \begin{equation*} \mathcal{S}^*_{\mathfrak{B}}:=\left\{f\in\mathcal{S}:\dfrac{zf'(z)}{f(z)}\prec\sqrt{1+\tanh{z}}=:\mathfrak{B}(z)\right\}. \

Human–Wildlife Conflict or Human–Human Conflict? Social Constructions of Stakeholder Groups Involved in Wildlife Management in Northern Zimbabwe 人兽冲突抑或人际冲突?津巴布韦北部野生动物管理之利益相关方的社会建构研究

open access: yesIntegrative Conservation, EarlyView.
The study investigated how stakeholder groups involved in wildlife management constructed images of each other. Stakeholder groups socially constructed each other as: powerful outsiders; ignorant and inconsiderate; habitat destroyers and poachers; and uncaring, greedy and selfish.

Cascaded deep NN‐based customer participation by considering renewable energy sources for congestion management in deregulated power markets

open access: yesIET Renewable Power Generation, EarlyView., 2023
This paper proposes a cascaded Deep Neural Network (DNN) based customer participation (CP) through financial incentives and wind energy source (WES) as on‐site generation (OSG) to alleviate congestion over congested transmission lines. The proposed module is a cascade combination of the Filtering Module (FM) which is based on modified back propagation ...
