Observing Dynamical Systems Using Magneto-Controlled Diffraction
Observing the light passing through a thin layer of ferrofluid, we can see the occurrence of interesting effects, both in the formation patterns within the ferrofluid layer and in the dispersion of light outside that layer.

This study explores geometry‐driven phase evolution in gyroid shell metamaterials made via laser powder bed fusion of 17‐4 precipitation hardened stainless steel. Locally hardened regions develop along the primary loading paths in the structure, which finite element analysis and geometric considerations link to enhanced gyroid strength.

Refractive Index Measurement within a Photonic Crystal Fibre Based on Short Wavelength Diffraction
A new class of refractive index sensors using solid core photonic crystal fibres isdemonstrated. Coherent scattering at the cladding lattice is used to optically characterizematerials inserted into the fibre holes. The liquid to solid phase transition of

Refractory high‐entropy alloys have attracted substantial attention for future ultrahigh‐temperature structural applications. Here the progression of key phase transformations in AlMo0.5NbTa0.5TiZr is established and correlated to the mechanical performance, highlighting the importance of the B2 phase.

The Effect of Dielectric Crystals on the Electron Diffraction [PDF]
A dynamic diffraction theory is developed for describing electron diffraction by dielectric crystals in a strong electromagnetic field. It is shown that additional diffraction maxima arise in an electromagnetic field, their intensity appreciably depending on the field strength.

The fabrication and post‐treatment via solvent annealing of poly(3,4‐ethylenedioxythiophene) polystyrene sulfonate‐based electrodes using spray deposition in a roll‐to‐roll setup are presented. The decrease in sheet resistance and its correlation with nanostructure and molecular structure in the electrodes as a function of the processing parameters is ...
