Automated high-throughput high-resolution X-ray diffraction capabilities at SSRL BL 2-1 [PDF]
High quality powder diffraction data from synchrotron radiation sources remain the cornerstone of structural characterization. They provide insights into the structure of materials; revealing subtle local and average structural details that could ...

Zeptosecond electron pulse train via multiphoton inelastic Cherenkov diffraction. [PDF]
High-harmonic generation and ultrafast electron coherent control are central goals in modern strong-field physics. However, the problem of producing and manipulating electron-matter-wave pulses at zeptosecond timescales remains a major challenge. Here we

Directional radiation properties of two impedance monopoles mounted on a perfectly conducting rectangular screen [PDF]
Subject and Purpose. Two impedance resonant monopoles of electric length 0.2 £ l / l £ 0.3 are mounted on a rectangular screen perpendicularly to the screen surface and studied for the directional radiation properties (directive gain and radiation ...

Hydrodynamic Analysis of Two Coaxial Moonpool Floaters Using Theoretical Methodologies
The present contribution aims at presenting a semi-analytical solution methodology of the linear hydrodynamic diffraction and radiation problems induced by two coaxial moonpool-type floaters subjected to incident waves. The flow field around the floaters

Resonant properties of an impedance monopole located on a perfectly conducting rectangular screen [PDF]
Subject and Purpose. A resonant monopole of an electrical length 0.2 £ l / l £ 0.3 mounted on an infinite, perfectly conducting plane or on a rectangular, perfectly conducting screen is considered.

An extension of the physical theory of diffraction concept for aperture radiation problems [PDF]
A correction to the Kirchhoff‐Huygens approximation in the format of a diffraction coefficient is derived for an aperture terminated by a half plane. As in the physical theory of diffraction (PTD), this is achieved by considering the end point contribution to the aperture integral.

Wave Diffraction from a Bicone Conjoined with an Open-Ended Conical Cavity
The problem of axially symmetric TM-wave diffraction from a bicone conjoined with an open-ended conical cavity is analysed rigorously. The scatterer is formed by the perfectly conducting semi-infinite and truncated semi-infinite conical surfaces; the ...
