Resonant properties of an impedance monopole located on a perfectly conducting rectangular screen [PDF]

open access: yesРадиофизика и электроника, 2020
Subject and Purpose. A resonant monopole of an electrical length 0.2 £ l / l £ 0.3 mounted on an infinite, perfectly conducting plane or on a rectangular, perfectly conducting screen is considered.

An extension of the physical theory of diffraction concept for aperture radiation problems [PDF]

open access: yesRadio Science, 1994
A correction to the Kirchhoff‐Huygens approximation in the format of a diffraction coefficient is derived for an aperture terminated by a half plane. As in the physical theory of diffraction (PTD), this is achieved by considering the end point contribution to the aperture integral.

Theoretical Evaluation of the Hydrodynamic Characteristics of Arrays of Vertical Axisymmetric Floaters of Arbitrary Shape in front of a Vertical Breakwater

open access: yesJournal of Marine Science and Engineering, 2020
The present paper deals with the analytical evaluation of the hydrodynamic characteristics of an array of vertical axisymmetric bodies of arbitrary shape, placed in front of a reflecting vertical breakwater, which can be conceived as floaters for wave ...

Wave Diffraction from a Bicone Conjoined with an Open-Ended Conical Cavity

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2023
The problem of axially symmetric TM-wave diffraction from a bicone conjoined with an open-ended conical cavity is analysed rigorously. The scatterer is formed by the perfectly conducting semi-infinite and truncated semi-infinite conical surfaces; the ...

Numerical Study on Hydrodynamics of Ships with Forward Speed Based on Nonlinear Steady Wave

open access: yesJournal of Marine Science and Engineering, 2020
In this paper, an improved potential flow model is proposed for the hydrodynamic analysis of ships advancing in waves. A desingularized Rankine panel method, which has been improved with the added effect of nonlinear steady wave-making (NSWM) flow in ...

A Coupling between Integral Equations and On-Surface Radiation Conditions for Diffraction Problems by Non Convex Scatterers [PDF]

open access: yesMathematics, 2021
The aim of this paper is to introduce an orignal coupling procedure between surface integral equation formulations and on-surface radiation condition (OSRC) methods for solving two-dimensional scattering problems for non convex structures. The key point is that the use of the OSRC introduces a sparse block in the surface operator representation of the ...

Investigation on surface plasmon polaritons and localized surface plasmon production mechanism in micro-nano structures

open access: yesJournal of Electronic Science and Technology, 2022
The simulation mechanism of surface plasmon polaritons (SPPs) and localized surface plasmon (LSP) in different structures was studied, including the Au reflection grating (Au grating), Au substrate with dielectric ribbons grating (Au substrate grating ...

DIPOLE ANTENNAS WITH A SECTOR-SHAPED RADIATION PATTERN [PDF]

open access: yesRadio Physics and Radio Astronomy
Subject and Purpose. The directivity characteristics of a dipole antenna when it is placed above and parallel to a perfectly conducting screen of rectangular shape are considered, aiming to theoretically study dipole antennas with sector-shaped radiation
