Low‐cycle fatigue damage in Mn–Mo–Ni reactor pressure vessel steel is examined using a combined electron backscatter diffraction and positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy approach. The study correlates texture evolution, dislocation substructure development, and vacancy‐type defect formation across uniform, necked, and fracture regions, providing

Diffraction from excitonic diffraction grating
Abstract In this paper we consider two methods for the theoretical modelling of the reflection and diffraction spectra from an excitonic diffraction grating made from a quantum well with spatial modulation of the exciton resonance. The modelling was performed in the single-scattering approximation, and by the step-by-step approximations ...

Stabilization of L‐PBF Ni50.7Ti49.3 under low‐cycle loading was investigated. Recoverable strain after cycling was dependent on the amount of applied load. Recovery ratio was 53.4% and 35.1% at intermediate and high load, respectively. The maximum total strain reached 10.3% at a high load of 1200 MPa.

Single and Central Diffractive Higgs Production at the LHC
The single and central diffractive production of the Standard Model Higgs boson is computed using the diffractive factorization formalism, taking into account a parametrization for the Pomeron structure function provided by the H1 Collaboration.

Creep experiments at 900°C on coarse‐grained steel‐ceramic composites containing recycled magnesia reveal that higher ceramic volume fractions significantly enhance the creep resistance. Detailed EBSD investigations identify subgrain formation in the steel matrix as the dominant deformation mechanism.

Factorisation in diffraction [PDF]
Recent experimental data on dijet cross sections in diffractive photoproduction at HERA collider were analysed with emphasis on QCD factorisation breaking effects. Dijet photoproduction data of jets with low transverse energy E T1 > 5 GeV indicated a possible dependence on E T of the suppression of jet production with respect to ...

Influence of an Argon/Silane Atmosphere on the Temperature of a Thermal Plasma
The influence of a silane‐doped argon atmosphere on the chemical composition and temperature of a thermal nontransferring argon plasma is investigated using optical emission spectroscopy. As a result of the high amount of free electrons resulting from the stepwise ionization and dissociation of the silane molecule, even a silane addition of 0.01 vol ...

Wide Field-of-View Imaging With Wavefront Coded Diffractive Photon Sieves
We report a demonstration of a wide field-of-view (FOV) imaging with a wavefront coded diffractive photon sieves. In conventional diffractive photon sieves (or other diffractive optical elements), clear imaging can only be achieved within near-zero FOV ...

Diffractive Higgs Production by AdS Pomeron Fusion
The double diffractive Higgs production at central rapidity is formulated in terms of the fusion of two AdS gravitons/Pomerons first introduced by Brower, Polchinski, Strassler and Tan in elastic scattering.
