Multiwavelength Achromatic Metasurfaces by Dispersive Phase Compensation
The replacement of bulk refractive optical elements with diffractive planar components enables the miniaturization of optical systems. However, diffractive optics suffers from large chromatic aberrations due to the dispersion of the phase accumulated by ...

Common-path interferometer with diffractive lens
We introduce a novel common-path interferometric measurement setup for optical quality testing. The setup is based on an optimized diffractive lens which produces two diffraction orders with equal efficiency and thus forms two interfering beams without any beam splitting or mirror alignments.

Refractive lens exchange with a multifocal diffractive aspheric intraocular lens [PDF]
To evaluate the safety, efficacy and predictability after refractive lens exchange with multifocal diffractive aspheric intraocular lens implantation.Sixty eyes of 30 patients underwent bilateral implantation with AcrySof(®) ReSTOR(®) SN6AD3 intraocular lens with +4.00 D near addition. Patients were divided into myopic and hyperopic groups.

All-optical atom surface traps implemented with one-dimensional planar diffractive microstructures [PDF]
We characterize the loading, containment and optical properties of all-optical atom traps implemented by diffractive focusing with one-dimensional (1D) microstructures milled on gold films.

A Color Restoration Algorithm for Diffractive Optical Images of Membrane Camera
In order to verify the technology of the membrane diffractive imaging system for Chinese next generation geo-stationary earth orbit (GEO) satellite, a series of ground experiments have been carried out using a membrane optical camera with 80 mm aperture (

Diffractive Microlensing I: Flickering Planetesimals at the Edge of the Solar System
Microlensing and occultation are generally studied in the geometric optics limit. However, diffraction may be important when recently discovered Kuiper-Belt objects (KBOs) occult distant stars.
